so far it's not bad but it just feels like a rehash, and at this point fan's can pretty much guess the rest of the roaster

I don't believe it to be disappointing at all. In-fact I think everyone confirmed up until this point belongs. I still hope Martian Manhunter is announced. However the designs these characters are bringing into this game, looks and moves wise. Are definitely fashionable, and sleek in that regard.

Edit: I fixed a lot of typos from my post last night.
I think we can eliminate who will be in the remaining 8 slots down to about 12 characters, but about 3 of those slots are total wild cards. It's still completely up in the air if Swamp Thing, Animal Man, Blue Beetle, or Power Girl are in the game. Even Doomsday is undefined as to whether he'll be a roster character or a Sub-Boss (my money is on Sub-Boss).
As for whether the roster is good/bad, there's a couple of characters who I feel could have been replaced by better choices, but overall the roster is fine.

the perfect roster does not exist.
And I thought it was clear that NRS was about to put the same DC guys from MK vs DC, because they already know those characters, their powers and how to translate them in gameplay.
Secondly, they are choosing their characters based on popularity, so I definitely see DarkSeid in it too. I am surprised that Lobo, as far, didn't make the cut.
With all due respect characters like Blue Beetle, Martian Manhunter, Black Adam, Bizarro, etc may be great characters, but they are NOT popular outside the DC fanbase.

Im almost confident he will be in it ;)
Just like Im hoping to see Robin. Yes we got Nightwing (woo!) but I still want to see Robin, like Tim Drake from Arkham City.
I haven't been on these forums since new Mortal Kombat released so I forgot how to put pictures, but here in this EU CE of Injustice you cn see 7 symbols which include Wonder Woman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Superman and *Legend of Zelda Treasure found sound* Da da da DAA
Robin and Martian Manhunter ;)

It's a good roster IMO. Although I'd personally love to see Robin, Red Hood, Mongul, Huntress, Atrocious, the Talon, the Dollmaker, Superboy prime, and the Black Hand.
I'm going to dismiss the roaster thing and just go ahead and redirect a few questions at the original post.
A. What exactly do you mean by rehash? It's already shown itself as an entirely different game, far from MKvsDC. Furthermore, they have added characters that I, frankly, wouldn't have seen making it in - Quinn, Cyborg, Nightwing, Solomon Grundy, and (if the rumors are true) Raven.
B. Did you expect them to go with second stringers rather than the bread and butter that has sustained them for the last 70 + years? Can you really make a DC Comics game without the characters that created the brand- The Justice League's A-Team?
C. Who would you recommend? And keep in mind that, though fandom can make money, they still need to attract the common man. Blue Beetle, Phantom Stranger, and Doctor Fate won't do that; those characters are for those of us who know who they are and appreciate them as fans. The common man wants to settle that 20 year bet he made with his buddy in the third grade about how "Aquaman could kick Batman's ass!" -while joking and having a few beers.

That sounds so fun!
Also, I would fricking love Phantom Stranger, but then again, I'm far from common.

Not necessarily true. I've never read a Blue Beetle comic in my life (or a DC comic in the last fifteen years), and I am going insane over Blue Beetle. I can't speak for comic fans as I'm not one myself, but it seems the first step is to fall in love with the concept, and then afterwards, the character.

I don't think so. I think it is turning out well within the range of expectation except for these last few. Which is wonderful to have that lasting element of surprise about the roster. The only one I'm technically "disspointed" about is that I haven't seen John Stewart (MY particular Green Lantern). Other than him, I haven't seen Martian Manhunter yet. Those were the two I have been looking for since the start of this thing.
A testament to what Temp is saying for me is that there are a few of these characters that I've learned more about just during this campaign that I'm actually kinda looking for. Here's... I think...all of those characters that I'd be delighted to see in the game to some capacity:
1.) :: Lobo - Ok, I've known about him for years but, this game makes it almost improbable that he won't show up. I want him in because he fits, he's interesting, and I think the one factoid about him that is the hook for me was when I learned that he could survive in a wormhole. It's not an unusual trait for a super-powerful character but...he was the first one I learned that about. Even before I really understood how powerful Superman was.
2.) :: Dr Fate - I knew little bits and pieces about him a long time ago too. But my ignorance level remains about the same on him. Other than that, of what I did read and see about him, his moves would be cool and he has a really cool costume.
3.) :: Spectre - Exactly the same as with Dr. Fate. Exactly.
4.) :: Red Tornado - Feels like some kind of pseudo- Iron Man for the DC world to me. Cool costume...etc
5.) :: Black Lightning - C'mon...tell me you couldn't have guessed that one.
6.) :: Hawkgirl - Complete conceit to the Justice League Unlimited ("the brave and the bold") animated series. NOT Hawkman at-all. Hawkgirl. My only tie-up with her is that I haven't liked it in the past how the MKTeam implemented Nitara from the MK world. With the wings and all.
7.) :: Vixen - Pretty sure I only know she exists because of the Justice League Unlimited animated series.
I think my last one would be someone like Captain Atom. Not for any particular reason other than I like the energy-based power thing, and the costume though. But I think that's it for me. If they manage to get some 35-40 characters in the game even as mere cameos, I'll be more than happy with the turn out of playable vs npc.

I probably shouldn't have been so definite. They're always exceptions, but the company needs to move product and that means mass appeal. They're going to show characters everyone's familiar with, whether or not they've read DC comics, doing awesome stuff. Blue Beetle isn't really a front-cover character, so his inclusion would be more for the avid fan rather than attracting the new player, then after playing as him the new player may fall in love with the character. We, being on the MK forums, getting updates about the game, and following tweets from Boon aren't really the average joe, so we're more invested in it. coltess Wrote:

Anyway, for the OP to call the roster a rehash is sort of foolish, as we've yet to see the entire roster and, as I said, you're not going to put in a second stringer and leave out Batman, or Superman, or The Flash, or any other Leaguer. So brace yourself for another mainstreamer, because either Captain Marvel (I still don't wanna call him Shazam) or Martian Manhunter is next.
I have a feeling Manhunter is going to be the last major reveal.

It's true that the average person would not have followed and researched the chraracter possibilities like I did, but wasn't Blue Beetle in "Smallville"? I never watched the show, but it seemed to have quite the fanbase. I figured that would have put his name in the mind of the casual fan.

If my math is right, there should be two more slots available if we assume that Blue Beetle and all the magazine-referenced characters are in (The only one I'm not counting is Ares). My guess is MM and Power Girl. I would just be so surprised if MM didn't make the on-disc roster.

Never watched Smallville. It seemed too...soapish for me. But really, Booster Gold? They got away with having Booster Gold?
^The last couple of season of Smallville was FULL of DC superheroes. They even got the Legion of Super Heroes in on the action. It was amazing. In general the show improved when it embraced the comics and let go of the soapy teen drama. I mean it was still there but it was there with more heroes lol.

Why not count Aries? I mean Aries got referenced alongside Aquaman in Official PlayStation Magazine Australia

He's the only character who has had a verbal reference in a magazine without being hinted via Noobde. Although the same is true of Raven, we actually have in-game footage of her. If we know some of the announced characters are only going to be story cameos, I would assume Ares is on the top of the list. After all, there hasn't been much fan cry for him. I didn't even know who he was until the magazine reference.
And honestly, I don't even think Doomsday is gonna be playable. If I had to place a bet, I'd say he's gonna be the Goro of this game.

Yeah I'm thinking it's going to be Doomsday as the sub-boss and Darkseid as the main boss.
While Aries is pretty much unknown that doesn't mean he won't be in the game lol

What I read, left Ares as a lock for the roster.
Honestly, I love the entire Roster, aside Wonder Woman. I've always just hated her, with a passion. No understanding why. She just has no appeal to me, whatsoever.
On a random note. I do very much support Martian Manhunter being in this game. He is an excellent fit, and his fans would be some of the people with the sourest taste in mouth, if he is excluded.
Hoping for Scarecrow. If not, Harley Quinn more than fills my cup.

I like the roster so far and if they just add Gorilla Grodd and Martian Manhunter, This is going to be my new favorite game lol

I would assume. Wouldn't make sense to have his logo on CE comic book and he not be apart of anything. That would be considered false advertisement. I'm really thinking Ed is trolling. So far I'm the only one who's been RT for anything MM. I'm pretty sure Ed Knows I been phishing around for clues and hints.
