Injustice: Who is overpowered? Who is underpowered?

It seems pretty even but it's still too early to tell

I actually have it already myself, in the states. I know the following characters right now:
Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Solomon Grundy, Joker, Sinestro
Joker imo would be low tier, the lowest possible tier. Sadly :( Out of all the Chars I mentioned above, that I know, I feel Green Lantern is one of the strongest. But he's also my fav DC Character overall so maybe I'm biased. But he's got great Hi-Low stuff, and a very strong set of special movies.

From what I've seen and read so far, I think Joker's gonna be okay once people get his parring down. Till then, people are going to have to settle for his zoning (which honestly doesn't seem that bad).
From what I'm told, Shazam is the worst in the game. That's a huge disappointment; he was one of the most hyped characters for me.

I just watched the GallopingGhostArcade stream and someone was playing Shazam and did quite well against him, and the commentator said he is not bottom tier, but a fair character.
Don't listen to any of the tier stuff, half the people don't know what they are talking about. Lets discuss tiers next week.

No telling for a while.

I'm guessing that player was either Fill_Pops or Delriach. If it was Delriach, that's cool, but I saw his Shazam get bodied for free on PL's stream.
I'm not saying he's not competitive, but he does lack a solid anti-air. That' s a huge character flaw. In a game where jump-in's lead to 50% damage, you have to have some sort of air defense. Until new strategies and tech surface, Shazam players have their work cut out for them.

It was Fill_Pops, and while he did lose the tournament from the start, at the end of the stream, he held his own against Bane, and pulled off some sick combos. With Banes overhead, lows, and commands grabs, he did pretty well.

Shazam is not bottom tier! No way in hell

Yeah, it's way too early to tell. I've heard ppl complaining about deathstroke already but that just because nobody knows the match ups or strengths/weakness of there own characters yet. I won't be able to play the game until late tonight but shazam is one of the first I'll try.

So far I'd say Superman and Green Arrow are this game's versions of Noob Saibot. That is to say... bad players can win with them by using ranged spam, but good players can unstoppable by any means necessary.

haven't uses superman, but Green Arrow's zoning game isn't too godlike. his regular arrows do just a measly 1 damage. Fire arrows travel slower. Its the electric arrows you'd have to worry about. They go faster and do 5 damage, but it's still small damage when compared to other characters' projectile attacks.
he can zone with his beast arrow or whatever it's called. and his combos seem weak, but i haven't found a way to chain with him yet.
as for Joker, I'm really liking him. he has good chain combos and the parry tops it off. he doesn't have a lot of low options though which sucks, but the low projectile makes up for it.

Superman has ridiculous area control with his sweeping laser attack. Every superman I played abused it and almost always beat me because of it.

Overpowered:
Deathstroke:
- High, low and aerial fast projectile that breaks armor.
- Full body covered (hit in front and on the back) safe-ish aerial spin with highest priority, may break armor because of multi hit, haven't tested.
- Ability to make projectiles unblockable.
- Good up close mix ups.
- Excellent super
- Good combo damage (30%+ meterless).

So far deathstroke players are handing my ass to me. Got close to victory with batman, but the machine guns from hell finished me off. Raven's full screen magic grab is pissing me off as well.
Other than that, I wouldn't say I've seen anything I'd consider broken.

Deathstroke right now seems like MvC3's Sentinel. Causes grief out of the gate but diminishes in dominance later on. We have to let the metagame evolve before crying foul on anything.

Raven vs Deathstroke is a really tough match for me. He out-zones me incredibly easily, and without Demon Form, I have poor as hell movement. Can't absorb his machine gun projectiles or jump over them... it seems heavily in Deathstroke's favor. I haven't made great use of Demon Form, yet, but to even have a prayer of safely activating it, I have to use it during jump. Then teleport in and try to pressure. But Deathstroke has a decent wake-up game too... and by the time i get in, I've taken 50% in chip. It's just ridiculous.

Deathstroke is giving me a rash right now.
Deathstroke is bad. Superman is bad.
Those two are incredibly OP. I play Superman for fun, and I can do some good combos and such and win the match. But most Superman players I encounter do the same three things:
- Laser eyes from bottom to top
- Laser eyes in the air
- Laser beams straight ahead
And here's the crappy part. It's very hard to get past them.

had some more experience fighting superman.
what i found useful against superman spammers is to stay on the ground. if they go up and use the laser eyes in mid air and you block it on the ground, there will be a good 2 or 3 seconds of recovery time for them, so you should be able to dash in and get a free combo. if your character has a slow dash, you should be able to get in a projectile then.
also, if you block a laser eye that's on the ground, he has enough recovery time that you can squeeze in a projectile and knock him to the ground.
As for Deathstroke, as someone mentioned earlier, he can he can only cover 3 areas: mid, low, and 45 degree angle. if you dash in and crouch between shots, you'll be good. Once you get in close though, he'll go for the jumping sword spin slash. on block, it is punishable, so it's basically a free combo.
thing with Deathstroke players, they all usually throw all their money onto that one tactic, and once you learn to how to maneuver around it, they become easy victories.

Deathstroke might be a problem for me once he tries to rush me down, but I'm beating these zoning Deathstrokes for free. If they try to turtle and shoot, I'm like "bitch, please." and preempt them with my final shackles.
Sinestro is great, but I feel like I'm missing out on a huge part of the game by not engaging in offense. I'm going to start learning a few other characters so I can understand footsies and rushdown better.
