Aww man... I sincerely hope he will be DLC then, because I know ALOT of people would have wanted him to be playable!

Until the movie Bane was a B-grade character and had been since the nineties. He was never A-list (like Joker or Two-Face) except during the Knightfall storyline.

I wasn't saying I don't think either should be there (I like both of them), I'm saying if not for the movie it would probably be one or the other.

Well lets not get crazy. Cyborg is a great character all on his own and so is Martian Manhunter. You don't have to put down the former to make the latter seem better.

U forgot Bane, thats 6 Bat-people. Which is about 4 too many IMO! And i dont think Harley AND Joker should be in, it should be One or the Other. We dont see Supergirl, Batgirl, Mera, or Mary MarveL... So why is the lady-joker in the game?! (Answer: becuz everybody loved her in Arkham City, just like everybody loved TDKR catwoman & Bane)

I'm not crazy about Bane being in. He just feels underwhelming next to more colorful DC characters, and having so many large heavy-hitters in the game robbed the uniqueness of his size.

Nothing against Bane fans, though. I do know a lot of people who wanted him in (more than Doomsday even). However, I think Catwoman was a lock even without "Dark Knight Rises." And she should be. She's one of the defining women of DC, or even comics in general.

i just wish dc would quit milking that as an excuse to not have charachters in like blue beetle zatana or w/e because my wory is if there is a sequal what are the chances the mos film wouldnt affect the roster similar to the dk trilogy? will we be looking at 5 superman charachters on a roster that excludes charachters who deserve to shine?

Not putting anybody down or getting crazy. I'm repeating what the editor at DC said, and that is the version of the Justice League that this game is pushing. Just think it's a little sad we couldn't have both.

The Guardians of the Universe appear during Green Lantern's Super Move
Several members of the Green Lantern Corps, including Kilowog, Ch'p, Tomar-Re, Katma Tui, Hammeroon, Stel and Salakk, make a cameo appearance in Green Lantern's win screen.
Atom Smasher, Giganta, and Darkseid all appear as environmental hazards in the Hall of Justice arena.[2]

Well, for what it's worth...Bane is the least shown of all the revealed characters. All we had is a single video, which was a Battle Arena showing off both him and Batman. So even the likes of Deathstroke and the recently announced Raven have had more of a showing than him. I think he has more to show than just what we have seen, more to seperate himself from the other big characters. As we saw from Green Lantern ad Aquaman etc., 1 Battle Arena video isn't enough to fully grasp what a character has to offer.

As for Catwoman, definitely agreed. I have been the main man on here preeching why these characters deserve their spots. When you take into consideration their fan base, recognizability, and story potential from their history...there's no reason why they should be denied just because they are associated with Batman. It's not like the developers said "we have to have X number of Batman characters in here". They just picked who they thought would best fit their criteria and story. Franchises didn't matter.

Agreed. I suppose DLC will consist of:

Martian Manhunter
A Flash Villain (Mirror Master, maybe)
Lobo
An Aquaman Villain (Black Manta, hopefully)


Anyway, yes it's saddening that MMH is relegated to DLC, but the bright side is, at least he will get due spotlight when they announce him as DLC. All of the attention will be on him on all the various gaming sites, and hopefully tournaments as well.

Take out Harley and put MMH on the bad side, just for lols.

Disgusted. As previously stated in another Thread Manhunter is one of the most well known DC characters. Honestly there is are about 15 characters confirmed so far that he should be in in front off.

I remember hearing somewhere (maybe IGN or GTTV) that DLC for Injustice was going to be in four DLC packs featuring characters, costumes and arenas). I'd be happy if the DLC character packs were this:

I mean, kinda. You didn't include Martian Manhunter, probably one of the most, if not the most, demanded character.

But I digress, they better make him DLC.

What people need to realize, is it's all biased personal preference that determines who should be in over who. They all have fans, vocal fans at that. If MMH made it in, and someobody else was left out, they'd be getting the same outcry as well. There's no winning solution.

But for curiousity sake, list 15 characters of the 22 confirmed so far, that you think MMH deserves it more.

We might as well put Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Joker aside, because they pretty much sell the game based off pure recognizablity and popularity alone.

So with that said, you are implying he is more deserving than:

You can say that he deserves it more, but really, let's look at the factors they consider when deciding who makes the roster, and break this down on just who deserves it most:

1. Recognizability
I would say the following characters are MORE recognizable than Martian Manhunter, judging from general audiences to comicbook fans:
-Aquaman (May be a joke in many people's eyes, but even your grandma knows Aquaman)
-Catwoman (Obvious)
-Harley Quinn (One of the most popular new comers in the last 20 years)
-Bane (TAS, comics, Knightfall, Batman and Robin, TDKR, Justice League: Doom)
-Nightwing (Well known as Robin, featured in many Batman books/games/shows)
-Lex Luthor (Obvious)
-Green Arrow (T.V. show)
-Sinestro (GL movie)

That leaves:
Shazam
Raven
Deathstroke
Grundy
Hawkgirl
Cyborg
Black Adam
Doomsday

2. They want equal heroes and villains, so some sacrifices had to be made, on either side, to ensure each side was equal in representation.

So really, it comes down to the hero characters that you would have to replace for Martian Manhunter. Leaving Shazam, Cyborg, Hawkgirl or Raven. All who have just as big of fanbases, if not larger, unique abilities not yet represented, and have been featured more prominantly in the past few years than MMH has been.

I like Martian Manhunter. I do. I think he deserves to be in the game, if not the main roster, at least as DLC. But, to say he deserves the spot more than others...is a biased statement. It's opinion. Personal preference. You may think he deserves to be in instead of Cyborg, Raven, Catwoman, Hawkgirl, or whoever...but at the end of the day, they all have a fanbase, and they all serve a purpose. It's not a random selection that he just missed out on, he just didn't take priority over the others for one reason or another. He's a lock for DLC, and that should suffice in the end. It sucks, but there's some fans that won't even get that chance.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for 16 DLC characters. MK had 4, I don't think they'll quadruple that. That would not only take up a lot of time and resources to make, it'll also cost a lot for us. If you consider the Season Pass for MK9, 4 characters for $15. We're talking $60 just for DLC characters.

Though, they did say they'll be doing more than MK9 had, so that'll be at least 5. So I would guess 6-8 would be a realistic expectation. With the likely candidates that are front runners being Lobo, Martian Manhunter, and Power Girl due to fan demand and hints from Boon talking about potential DLC.

Because NRS knows they will make good $ having Martian Manhunter as an addon.

I really like the idea of a DLC pack(s). They should each come with 4 characters, 1 stage themed to a character in each thing or just a cool stage and a costume pack like you said.

1. Amusement Mile (Roller Coaster Stage Transition anyone?)

Teen Titans: Raven, Starfire and Beast Boy (Cyborg looks same and Robin is already an Alternate)

They wont do all of that. Possibly 12 but even that is a huge stretch.

I wouldn't pay much attention to this statement,since Doomsday is both playable AND background character,so personally this doesn't confirm anything for me.
