Ok. I watched Warrior on Friday, and it was a pretty decent episode for what it was. We get to see Zatanna again, which is great. The way they did Warrior Angel was much like Captain Marvel. We didn't exactly get a progression in the main story, but we did get a hint of some potential development of something at the end. Next week's episode looks like another filler, but it should at least be a bit interesting.

what did everyone think of this past week's episode? i thought it was ok. wonder what'll happen to that "future" now?

It was actually better than I thought. We got some actual development in the main story, and there were certain interesting developments. The future is going to be very different with Alia dead and Zod's solar tower destroyed. I look forward to the next episode, especially since Zod's worst fears are being realized.

yeah, but i wonder did they change the future enough? who's to say Zod won't just rebuild?

Well, I'm sure he could. However, he's also worried about the loyalty of his fellow Kandorians. He doesn't want them to favor Clark over him. Also, if Zod and his people are exposed, humans will hunt them down.

guess we'll have to see how things play out the remainder of this season, and if there will in fact be truth to the rumors of a 10th season, and how the events of this season will play into it

Yeah, I heard about that. I think the 10th season should be the final one. I wonder just how they're going to step things up in that season. In Absolute Justice, Amanda Waller made a reference to Apokolips, so it is possible we'll see Darkseid. I don't see how they could pull him off well. We'll just have to see what happens.
No review has been done for Conspiracy. I have to say that I really like the power struggle between Clark and Zod as well as the events that unfold later as seen in the previews. I also like the stuff with Chloe trying to stock up on Kryptonite weapons under Clark's nose, only to have Oliver hide them elsewhere under Chloe's nose.
The bad guy in the episode was a little bit cheesy, and the way he killed himself was pretty damn stupid. The scene with Zod in the Daily Planet in which he disguises himself was really strange and silly the way they did it. I don't understand why they had to go in a sort of slow motion with that. I also thought that the way Varla (I think that's her name.), Faora's sister, acted, was a bit too human. The scream she had was almost out of a cheesy horror film, imo.
Despite its flaws, it had good moments. While I hate having to deal with another hiatus, April 2nd should come soon enough.

No. There will be new episodes starting April 2nd.
This thread is for fans of the man of steel and anything relating.
Since the old thread isn’t able to be updated, I decided to take a swing.
Smallville
Airs 8:00/7:00c on Friday Evenings.
Currently on it’s tenth and likely final season.
Still quite a ways off, but here’s the lowdown for the upcoming 2012 reboot.
Man of Steel - 2012 reboot
During story discussions for The Dark Knight Rises in 2008, David S. Goyer, aware that Warner Bros. was planning a Superman reboot, told Christopher Nolan his idea on how to present Superman in a modern context. Impressed with Goyer's concept, Nolan pitched the idea to the studio in February 2010, who hired Nolan to produce and Goyer to write based on the financial and critical success of The Dark Knight.
Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) was hired to direct the Superman reboot in October 2010.
General Zod has been rumored to be the villain in the above link as well.
Composer Hans Zimmer (Dark Knight, Inception) has been confirmed not to compose the score.
Cast
Henry Cavill cast as Superman
Amy Adams cast as Lois Lane
Kevin Costner cast as Jonathan Kent
Diane Lane cast as Martha Kent

Natalie Portman better not get anywhere near Lois Lane.
Honestly this whole thing annoys me considering I really liked Superman Returns. And both Brandon Routh and Kevin Spacey were great.

The problem with Superman Returns was that Bryan Singer was trying to recreate the feel of the other Superman movies instead of trying to do more of his own thing. Brandon Routh looks the part for Superman, but he was trying to pull off a Christopher Reeve with his acting.
Superman Returns was a decent movie. But I wasn’t so much a fan of the characterization.
I’ll point out more what I mean.
Kevin Spacey played Lex Luthor still almost as a parody of the character. It reminded me more of a one time only episode were the villain creates a half-baked scheme and loses at the end of the day. I like when Lex is portrayed to always be one-step ahead, intelligent and detective skills on par with Batman. Smallville gets a bad rap occasionally from purest fans, but I really liked how Lex was portrayed, especially in the middle seasons.
Brandon Routh’s Superman and the whole movie like SZ7th mentioned, felt like it was trying to live up to Reeve’s version. When if they did a true reboot at that time, they might not need one now. Also I don’t know if it was just me, but Clark Kent was a little too on the dorky side, he’s supposed to have a very dorky sense of humor, but it seemed overdone. Just felt like it was missing something. A lot of fans complained about the suit, but I’m drawing a blank on what can be done with the iconic suit without changing it up too much.
Kate Bosworth’s Lois Lane was pretty mediocre, Lois Lane’s supposed to have a spunk and sass, and even if she has to go into dangerous environments she’s going to get a story. Bringing up Smallville again, I think Erica Durance’s portrayal is near perfect for her, she has that fiery personality that even sets Clark in line and gets her job done persistently.
And I’ll just say I wasn’t a fan of the love triangle and son.

It's NOT untitled. The film is going to be called The Man Of Steel.
And I have been hearing for quite awhile that Anne Hathaway is up for the part of Lois Lane and Matthew Goode for the part of Superman.
I haven't heard the Zod rumors. The villains I have heard rumored are Lex Luthor(of course) and Metallo.
I hope they get another legendary actor to portray Jor-El this time like in Richard Donner's Superman.

Adam Baldwin for an Older Superman. The new film needs to capture a major element that EVERY live action interpretation has constantly neglected: Superman is a DICK. www.superdickery.com

Ah ok, when I have access to my labtop (what I'm using now is a pain in the ass), I'll check it out and update the first message. Sources would help. I've heard that title, but thought it was still in dispute.
And lol at Superdickery, hilarious those were real covers.

I can't wait to see the rebooted film! I liked Superman Returns as well, but some things about the film did bother me and didn't make me enjoy it as much as I thought I would when I first saw it. Meh, hopefully they do this one right.

A lot of sites like IMDB say "Superman: The Man Of Steel" but its just The Man Of Steel. A lot of publications had a tendency to label The Dark Knight, Batman: The Dark Knight at first because they were so used to Batman being in the title they assumed thats what it was.
The director is Zack Snyder(300, Watchmen) and the script is being written by David Goyer and Jonathan Nolan based on a story by David Goyer. The movie's music will be done by Hans Zimmer. It is being produced by Christopher Nolan, Emma Thomas and Charles Roven all of the Batman Begins/The Dark Knight franchise.
Other actors rumored for the part of Superman besides Matthew Goode are Joe Manganiello,Patrick Wilson, Erryn Arkin, and Sam Worthington. Natalie Portman and Anne Hathaway have both been rumored for Lois Lane.
The target release date is Christmas 2012. So I imagine filming will probably begin on this late next year.
