That's really interesting news. It'd be cool to see them on the show.

As for tonight's episode, I thought it was alright. It was a filler episode of sorts, but it did have some interesting elements to it.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
It was surprising that Chloe was behind the whole thing. She wanted to help Oliver return to being the hero he was meant to be, but damn, she's real sneaky.

It was also surprising to see an element of the main story of season 9 in this episode.

Overall, this episode wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I'm definitely looking forward to episode 7.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
As we saw in a previous episode, the El family crest was found in Turkey via a satellite, which a naked body lying on the ground. Apparently, in episode 7, entitled Kandor, a younger Jor-El and Clark are going to meet up. I hope that will be a very good episode, and I'm sure it will.

Ok, I finished watching tonight's episode, and I have to say that it wasn't all that bad. For what was more or less a filler episode, we yet again get elements of the main story unfolding. It seems that even with the filler episodes this season, we get some sense of progression in the main plot, which I think is a very wise thing to do.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
I really like that they had Tess and Zod in this episode. We see that they are business partners trying to play a psychological chess game with one another. It's interesting how quickly Zod and his people have fit into human society and how he wants to use the solar tower to harness the power of the yellow sun. I almost wonder if Zod will continue onto season 10 as "General Zod". That should be interesting, and perhaps there could be a conflict between Clark and Zod in season 9's finale in the Fortress of Solitude.

I'm really looking forward to Kandor. It looks promising.

No, I haven't heard from mkflegend. I hope he'll come back soon though. This thread isn't the same without him.

Anyway, getting back to the episode:

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
I have a knack for not saying more of how I feel about an episode as it seems to just slip out of my mind.

When it comes to Tess killing the Kandorian, I'd have to say that it's not unbelievable for me. Granted, Kryptonians are highly intelligent, and this one is a soldier. However, Tess is clever and is skilled in martial arts. What I would find to be unbelievable is just how that guy was able to become one of Tess' guards without and not be thoroughly checked out. By the way, is it me or does that guy look like Billy Zane? tongue

Anyway, I liked the scenes with Lois and Clark, and it's cool to see them kiss at the end.

I found it strange that Mia was still dressed up as a prostitute even after her pimp got his ass handed to him.

I did like the sort of battle between Chloe and Stuart, and it's kind of funny how she owned him by scanning his fingerprints and finding out who he is.

Yeah, it was a very good episode. We get good backstory, even bits on what led to the creation of Doomsday. I don't understand why Jor-El is blonde and much older than he should probably look if the younger version of him looked just like Clark. I really like how good of a villain Zod is, especially when he figured out that Jor-El has a son. Chloe's Big Brother (or should I say "Big Sister") characteristic is really making her an edgy character, and I wonder just how far she's going to go with that.

One thing that disappointed me was that we didn't get any scenes in the Fortress. It would have been interesting to have the clone Jor-El there. I would think that Clark would go to the Fortress to find out the object he put in the Kent Farm is. It's interesting that Jor-El used Blue Kryptonite to disable the clones from getting their powers.

Speaking of Blue Kryptonite, I was wondering to myself why Clark didn't consider using that to defeat Doomsday. If the other kinds of Kryptonite work on him, using Blue Kryptonite to disable his powers could have been the answer.

Anyway, although it was nice to see interaction between Clark and Oliver, it was kind of pointless to have him go on a jet. If Clark can grab Davis and travel all the way to the Fortress by running, why couldn't he have done the same when going to Turkey?

Still, this was a very nice episode. It was pretty solid, like the rest of this season so far. I'm not really looking forward to next week's episode. I'll probably roll my eyes a bit since this is about the Wonder Twins. Oh well...If they can find some thing in Idol to have some more development in the main story, then that'd be fine.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Even so, this season is the most interesting one so far, in my opinion.

Now, about tonight's episode, it was obviously a filler episode, but like the other filler episodes in this season, we see elements that tie into the main story. This is very smart, and I hope that they'll continue to do that with their filler episodes from now on.

We see a lot of Lois/Clark stuff and not as much on the Wonder Twins as I thought we'd see. The girl playing as Jayna is kind of cute, and it's kind of funny to see the guy from 7th Heaven play as Zan. Thankfully, they weren't as cheesy as they were in the old Superfriends cartoon. We see a reference to Gleek with Jayna's cellphone. Not only that, we get references to Twitter, Facebook, etc. like in previous episodes. *shakes head* tongue

Right, so moving on, we see more tension between Clark and Chloe, and from what I've seen of some spoilers,
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
their friendship is bound to end.

I'm a bit surprised that Clark considered revealing himself to the public when doing so would expose him to Zod (even though Zod knows about him and has already seen him).

Overall, this was an ok episode with some funny moments and cheesy moments.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Like Kandor, I'm really looking forward to Pandora. As we see in the beginning of Idol, the future Earth is orbited by a red sun, which we know means that Clark is without his powers. In Crossfire, we saw that Tess and Zod are working together to build the solar tower in order to harness the power of the sun.

I have to wonder just how Zod and his people are going to get their powers by using the tower to turn the yellow sun into a red sun. I can only guess that somehow, they absorb the radiation of the yellow sun to the point where it becomes a red sun.

But yeah, next week's episode looks great.

Yeah, I agree. Pandora is a great episode that gives insight into what Lois experienced in the future. Callum Blue is amazing as Zod, and in the future, we see him rank up to General status. We see Emil and Stuart again. This episode showed the kind of impact that Lois had. If she didn't return, Clark would have made the bad choices that would have led to his defeat.

According to wikipedia, in the Red Son storyline, Zod was infected with Kryptonite and is weak under a yellow sun while he gets his powers from the radiation of the red sun. Since Jor-El used Blue Kryptonite to tamper with the orb, he reversed the effects that the red and yellow suns have on Kryptonians for the Kandorian clones. However, I have to wonder about Alia. Under the yellow sun, she had her powers in both Savior and Pandora. Of course, some might speculate that it is due to her carrying Blue Kryptonite.

Anyway, Smallville returns in January, and things get even bigger. The ending of Pandora was strange but an interesting twist. With the way Zod is, I doubt Clark will be able to set him in the right direction. I can't wait to see the J.S.A. stuff and see characters such as Hawkman and Dr. Fate. It should be interesting.

Hey everyone. It's been a long while since there's been activity in this thread. First, I'll talk about Disciple, and then I'll talk about Absolute Justice.

Disciple

This was a pretty good episode. We get more of Oliver's backstory, and we see the return of Mia/Speedy. We see more development of Lois and Clark's relationship, which is nice. Also, we have Zod tossed into the mix. The episode revealed that Zod is in search of the Book of Rao so that he can learn how to turn the yellow sun into a red sun. If you remember in Kandor, Jor-El mentioned a passage from the Book of Rao when talking to Tess, and he hid an octagonal disc at the Kent Farm.

I do have to wonder why Clark hasn't been spending time talking to Jor-El in the Fortress to get more answers. I would like to have seen scenes of them interacting or at least get information like Clark did when learning of Alia's name and origin.

Absolute Justice

This was a great two-part episode. It was nice to see the various heroes get together and to even get various flashback scenes with some of the old JSA members. I wish we could have seen more of Sandman, and it's a shame that Dr. Fate was killed by Icicle. I thought the actors did a good job with their acting. Pam Grier did a good job as Amanda Waller, and I really look forward to more of the Checkmate story, especially with Tess being revealed as an agent.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
According to wikipedia, Checkmate is the name of the 17th episode of this season.

Also, from what I heard, the "apocalypse" mention by Waller is in reference to Darkseid and Apokolips. It would be awesome if he were the main villain in season 10. Maybe they'll even do the kind of story they did in Superman: TAS's three-part finale in which Darkseid has Superman brainwashed and used against Earth.

It was great to see Phil Morris return as John Jones/Martian Manhunter. Not only was he wearing his costume, he got his powers back thanks to Dr. Fate. I really hope we can see more of him. I have to wonder if Clark talked to him about Zod and the other Kandorians.

Anyway, next week's episode doesn't look that interesting to me though we do get a return of Zatanna. Still, I'm really interested in seeing more JSA members as well as more of the Checkmate story and Zod story.

Apokolips is the name of the planet that Darkseid rules. It's basically a perpetually burning planet, and in some ways, it's comparable to Outworld. If Smallville can do Doomsday, perhaps they could pull of Darkseid as well.
