Damn man, If Smallville gets anymore awesome this season I'm gonna end up in Cardiac Arrest. Shit another awesome episode!

I'm guessing the Superman logo crest that had the body buried beneath it is Davis?

I like the fact Clark is closer to letting Lois know who he is. I still think she knows though.

I have a feeling Clark might go back for Chloe and save Jimmy. Which might lead to something where Zod kills Lois. I say this because of the dreams she had where it involved Zod and Her and Clark making love.

Metallo looked sweet. I think it would be cool if they used the meteor rock heart to Resurrect Lex if they find him. A good fight for Clark for sure.

Next week looks awesome! Toy man being back I can suspect some pretty bad stuff to occur.

Tonight's episode was pretty good. I like that there's a sense of progression in the plot. I don't really want to see many filler episodes. I think Lois has a feeling in the back of her mind when it comes to Clark being the Blurr. Interesting theory about Davis being the one on the El family crest.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Apparently, next week's episode involves Zod unleashing some zombie plague that affects Lois. Chloe wants Clark to use his Kryptonian blood to cure her, but he doesn't want Zod to know of his presence. Considering what was shown in the preview for the next episode, the episode I'm talking about might be the one after. I was just looking ahead on Comcast Digital Cable.

I don't believe it's Davis aka Doomsday for two reasons. One, last season he died after him and Jimmy killed each other remember guys?

Secondly, Doomsday is buried beneath the Earth by Clark only to one day rise and Fight Superman.

Thirdly, I think that will wind up being someone else actually related to Clark. If it's davis that will make no sense honestly given how they ended last season so I'll be shocked if it's him after Jimmy killed him especially before he died.

But yeah, very, very good episode. Metallo looked sick, I think they'll bring him back in the future maybe...

Lex is still alive, he's just "missing" for the moment. I read via spoilers that the producers when asked about "Lex being dead" they kind of didn't answer....that means he's alive, plus due to the mythos you know they won't kill him.

Plus, Rosenbaum had dinner with one of the producers of the show recently so take that into account. Rumors have it he'll pop up at some time this season and most of season 10(next year)

I also personally don't believe that Clark will go back in time to save Jimmy or that Lois will die(another thing that can't happen)

At any rate, loved the show and think Clark will obviously have his typical "partially human side" with feelings for all humanity but mainly Lois and his friends.

Season 9 is shaping up to be, dare i say it, more epic. but yeah, i had to buy Season 8. and i might some day go back and pick up the 7 previous Seasons as well. maybe when Smallville is done it's run on tv.

i'm also in the works of collecting Supernatural as well

Season 8 had it's good moments. The thing about this show is that it tends to shine when it focuses on the mythology. So in season 8, when they had stuff with Doomsday's story, those episodes are the more memorable ones.

Going back to season 9, I think it could end up being my favorite season due to more focus on the mythology and going for a darker, grittier route. I don't have any of the seasons on DVD, but if season 9 is really good, I might get it.

yeah i agree with you. the show's recent decision to focus more on the mythology makes things more enjoyable.

that's not to say i didn't like past seasons prior to Season 7, 8 and now 9, it's just the last three have been the best

I think all of the seasons have their strong and weak points. It looks that seasons 9 and 10 will really be the defining seasons for Clark's character. To me, they should stop at 10, because there's only so much that can be done.

By the way, I did another check on my digital cable service, and here's an update:

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Next week's episode is Rabid. It's the episode I was talking about earlier with the whole "zombie plague" story. The episode with Toyman is the episode after that, and it's called Echo. Apparently, in that episode, Jor-El gives Clark the ability to hear people's thoughts. That is interesting. I have to wonder whether they are going to do his freezing breath ability. I'm a bit surprised that power was never discussed, at least to my knowledge, it hasn't.

Well, so far nothing on the freezing breath ability but they did cover the "super breath/blow/sneeze" few years ago. He just never uses it lol.

But yeah, as far as I'm concerned Smallville is the best Superman TV show ever done thus far and longest lasting(10 years is impressive for any show these days and in general) plus I honestly believe every show goes thru some ups and downs, better seasons and alright ones.

Look at Heroes even? I don't really follow it that much but season 3 got a lot of heat and LOST which was once super popular has gone in so many directions people have "lost" interest lol

I like it how Smallville overall at times has it's own story but ultimately keeps the important things canon to the original storyline.smile

I think that will only get better, btw have you guys checked out that link with the Smallville Super suit? Rumors have it he'll wear it in the movie "Metropolis" that finishes off Smallville once it's done.

I heard that Tom Welling and Erica Durance are signed up for a 10th season.

To mkflegend: There's going to be a movie after Smallville finishes? Is it a TV movie or something?

Yep, if you check out some of the spoilers I posted or news in previous posts you'll seesmile concerning the Smallville movie, also at one of the 09 comic cons with the actors, producers of Smallville they mentioned a movie later on but forget which video...

Check out more on kryptonsite.com, comicvine.com and CW you'll see what I mean man.smile

As for Welling and Durance, that is correct. I had posted that Welling was inked for 2 more years a little over a month ago in here some where but it was more recently revealed that Erica has as well and rumors that Lex will be back since he recently had dinner with one of the producers.

The movie is currently called or referred to as "Metropolis"

I'm surprised no one posted in this thread after last night's episode. I saw it, and I have to say that it was pretty good overall. What could have been a mere filler episode turned out to be an episode that ties into the main story.

They were able to make some use out of all of the main cast, even if a couple of the characters (Zod and Tess) didn't have much screen time. It's kind of funny that Zod thinks Jor-El survived and that he took all of the power for himself. That should be interesting, especially when Zod learns that he's actually dealing with Jor-El's son.

I have to wonder if there is going to be a battle between Clark and Zod in the Fortress along with dialogue between Zod and Jor-El. I'm also interested in the person that is apparently somewhere in Turkey with the El family crest. I heard that it is a clone of a younger Jor-El. If that's true, I wonder how that will play out.

I like the tension between Clark and Oliver. It seems like Oliver still has to overcome his self-pity and become the hero he's supposed to be. Chloe spying on the League members was interesting, and I wonder what will happen once they find out.

One thing that was kind of silly was in the early part of the episode in which Clark put out the fire and gave Lois some coffee within 3 seconds. I know he has super speed, but I think that's over-exaggerating it. It's kind of funny that they sort of had Clark use his freeze breath. I had wondered about that, and we kind of see that when he cools Lois' cup of coffee. I thought it would have been frozen solid, but I guess he can control how cold he makes it.

I guess that's all I have to say about this episode for now.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Next week is Echoes. Toyman returns, and apparently, Jor-El gives Clark the ability to hear people's thoughts. It's probably only going to be in that episode though.

The episode after shows Roulette.

Apparently, MKF's ban has to do with posts he made in other threads.

As for Rabid and season 9, I agree. I think my favorite scene of Rabid was the scene with Zod. I like Callum Blue's performance so far, and I like how Zod wants him and his people to stay hidden. The way he pulled out that sword and sliced that guy was badass.

I'm sorry for double posting, but I'm going to talk a bit about the latest Smallville episode anyway.

Tonight's episode was somewhat of a filler episode, but it does have certain elements of significance. You have the continuation of Clark's training lessons with Jor-El, a development in the relationship between Lois and Clark, etc. We also get stuff on Oliver, and we see him slowly starting to come back.

The part where Tess shows up with guns is kind of funny, and her role in this episode is sort of as a plot device. However, it was good to see her, and I like the scene at the end between her and Toyman. It was badass of her to kneecap him, and it's interesting that she wants him to find out how Metallo's Kryptonite-powered heart works.

There isn't too much to say about this episode overall. It was pretty good for what it was.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Next week's episode is Roulette in which Steph Song plays as her. It looks to definitely be a filler episode, and one that is focused on Oliver. It's probably another episode that deals with his character development.

I'm not really a big fan of the filler episodes in general, especially in this season. Still, I'm the type that goes along for the ride with this show, so to speak.
