Well, I have to say that it's pretty interesting...I was actually expecting Tom Hardy to play a villain like Black Mask or Deadshot. It would have been nice to have them involved. I look forward to seeing how Bane will be pulled off. The one that I'm really surprised with is Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. I understand that Catwoman is a brunette in the comics, but I'm not sure that Hathaway is the right pick for a character like her. Then again, people were surprised by Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker.

About Christian Bale as Batman, I think he has the right look for it. I just wish that he could work on his voice, and I know he can do it, because there were a couple parts in Batman Begins in which he slightly alters it. The thing about this third movie is that there is the stigma of threequels and how movies like Spider-Man 3 suffered from the "threequel syndrome". I'm still excited about this movie, and I think it's just best to wait and see how it turns out.

Yeah Bale does need to scale it back a bit to a more Eastwood sound. Christopher Nolan is much better filmmaker than Sam Raimi and is backed a studio that basically lets him do whatever the hell he wants so I'm not worried about a Spider-Man 3 situation.

Hmm I don't care much for Anne Hathaway as Catwoman but If Heath Ledger as The Joker is any indication maybe it won't be as bad....maybe

But In my opinion Hathaway's Catwoman will never compare to this Crazy Bitch.

As for Bane I was expecting someone more I don't know evil? Black Mask or Hush or even Hugo Strange. Oh well, it'll be interesting to see Bane anyway.

Kinda funny though seeing as Bane, Two-face and kind of Scarecrow (If you want to believe that Batman Triumphant thing) were in Joel Schumacher's movies. And now they're in Nolan's.

Well, every Catwoman incarnation is different.

For example, while Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman was scary and intimidating, Eartha Kitt's Catwoman was more sneaky and seductive, and Lee Meriwether 's Catwoman was more playful and bubbly.

I'd love to see what Anne Hathaway will bring forth as Catwoman.

And Halle Berry's Catwoman....oh wait...that never happened. That was just this horrible nightmare I had about 7 years ago.

The ONLY version of Catwoman I've enjoyed outside of the comic medium was Catwoman on Batman: TAS

Catwoman's cool and all but I don't think there's a way to top the joker in a batman movie.

Of course not.

But seeing Catwoman in a noncomical world would be a great site to see.

Anne Hathaway is not a convincing Catwoman at all, and I don't even need to see this movie to know that. Instantly turned me off to this movie.

Can't wait. I love Anne Hathaway.
I also love Katie Holmes. I'm so glad Maggie Gyllanhaal is dead.

First off i have total faith in Nolan as a director, his movies are amazing. I am very curious as to which Batman comic story he will be building off of (haven't read any of the Bane stories, gotta get on that) or if maybe it will be totally unique. After all, Bane is of Latin descent i believe so if Tom Hardy's playing him they've already changed things up a bit (not a big deal though).

Also Tom Hardy is a fantastic actor and if anybody doubts him as a 'strong man' type go see Bronson. The dudes a fuckin beast

Why are you talking like a child with no life experience? I know you better than this.

Straight up: Nobody can judge anything about this movie without watching it first.

I remember thinking that Heath Ledger as Joker was disappointing and just weird. And I wasn't the only one. And then, we got the Dark Knight Joker, easily the most memorable, culturally relevant and most popular version of the Joker ever. I'm not saying that's what's going to happen with Hathaway, but if by now you don't trust Nolan's casting and directing I don't know what else you need to see. The man brings out the best performance in every actor he directs.

Also, Hathaway is a VERY under rated actress. Even though most of her movies are bad comedies, if you've seen her on SNL you know she's very talented and versatile.

Also she's really hot.

I heard that he's asking for like... 430 million dollars for this and WB won't support it, so Nolan might drop this movie.

I may or may not have exaggerated with that number. Nolan wants this movie to be very, very pricy... And from what I've heard WB won't support it... Thus why what he wants is too much.

But of course, what I heard was a rumor.

I think its pretty dumb that they are gonna re re-boot Batman after Dark Knight Rises. However after I heard DKR was gonna be the last Nolan Batman I was bummed. So knowing that they plan to make a whole new set of Batman movies makes me glad in a way. I’m eager to see DKR so I hope it doesn’t get shut down. I still feel likes it’s crappy that WB wants to immediately reboot it. I’m kinda indifferent about it...confused

First virally released shot of Tom Hardy's Bane.
Not sure what to make of it. Hard to know if this is the full extent of the character, or just a preview. If the Heath Ledger/Joker equivalent was anything to go by, you'd think this is pretty much the deal. You never know, though.

Spooky audio on official site (http://thedarkknightrises.warnerbros.com/) was decoded as "#TheFireRises" which led to Twitter account and hashtag posts and the gradual reveal of the shot (ala; the Why So Serious campaign).

Interesting stuff. Looking forward to more substantial looks!
Maybe a dancing midget? Fire Walk With Me...

Not a big fan of Anne... Though it's not going to stop me from watching this movie.

Just kinda wished they filmed it here in sweet home Chicago.

Uh, White Queen anyone?

This little tainted diamond here was portrayed perfectly by Hathaway. In fact, this incarnation of the White Queen was Hathaway's own creation.

Both this White Queen and Catwoman are just as beautiful, just as graceful, and just as weird.

I'm sure Hathaway will make Catwoman her own, and I can't wait to see what she's gonna do with her.

A lot of people felt the same when Heath Ledger was named to be the Joker in the Dark Knight, and look what kind of performance we got out of him.

I'm not worried. Nolan is a great director, I think well get an amazing performance with Ann Hathaway. I never really though Joseph Gordon-Levitt was a great actor, and just look at how well he was in Inception. Same with Robin Williams in Insomnia, before that, most of his movies where comical, or kid films. Nolan can bring out a serious performance with almost any actor/actress IMO.

I love Anne Hathaway. I am glad she is going to be in this movie. Going from sex bomb Katie Holmes to ... that ... Maggie G chick was the worst thing about the transition from Batman Begins to the Dark Knght.
