I have, in fact, have some editing done, though it isn't enough.

Take a good look at the second pic. I did the best I could to edit Kitana and Jarek, so that their weapons would not get in the way of the faces of others.

Also, I have something above that I want you all to look at, if you haven't yet. It's not the best of work, but my skills will get better.

"pixelated" is the term we use to identify sprites that are very blurry and have very large pixels. see, wrong editing can leave the pixels all wrong in a way that they don't blend in, and the whole pic ends up looking like there are a lot of big squares on it, and that their eyes, legs, etc. are made of giant squares. Look:

pixelation of a sprite might come by enlarging it in paint, or shrinking it. when you change the size of a picture, the computer automatically enlarges or shrinks every individual pixel to match the proportions, so it will add on to it, making large squares. so if a leg is 3 times larger, the pixels will be 3 times larger to match the leg, and that blurs it all. in my pic, the dragon got pixelated by me enlarging and shrinking it several times. you can avoid this by not changing the original size of your pictures. also, sometimes the file you save it as can affect the picture- like if you open a jpg file and save it as something else (bmp,png, etc.), a message might say "may cause loss of color info",which means it will reduce the variety of color shades to fit the format. so, a colorful summer sunset will become a sunset of only a few dull colors and little dots everywhere if you save it as something else. trust me, it happened to me a few times. i think that is what happened to your motaro. and if the picture already had low quality, try finding another one!
