This thread will be dedicated to images that i will be scanning from my very own *Classic" Mortal Kombat Collecton. I believe that most of you will have never seen any of what i am about to post before.

- Please feel free to use any of the content here, if you want to credit them only credit the the companies (midway classic panini etc) and if you really want you can credit me as the "scanner" of these images, i will try and supply you guys with as much information on each as possible.

In this thread i will be putting the combined stickers that have been halfed and quatered in the Panini MK sticker Book

This thread will be updated frequently as my scanner has a tendancy to cut bits off - and also the pictures don't align properly due to the fact that panini didn't cut them properly - but i have made the best effort i can!.

In addition to the rest of what i intend to scan - i have just purchased possible the rarest Mortal Kombat related object that i have ever seen.

It just cost me $45 including P+P but i think it was definately worth the price - and for now this will be the last item i will be purchasing for a while - i need to seriously cut down on the spending :)

As far as i am aware there isn't a Kano pog - but i will be definately keeping an eye open for it.
I used to have some MK pogs. I sliced the faces off some crappy pogs, and drew other MK characters on them. I used them as select screen portraits when I played MK with my action friggers.

hah, i used to do that with pogs aswell - but i didn't use them for selection screens. - however i did draw MK or SF related stuff onto them, that was until my teacher stopped be drawing because while i was drawing pictures of fighters with muscles and big pecs - she being the dike she was (my mum used to work with her and told me that she was) saw butch woman with boobs -_-. So all my pogs and pictures was confiscated.

Fantastic images man. I was waiting for these..

At some point, I'll try to have them all cut out so people can use them for art. sigs, avatars, wallpapers and so on.

But no promises on "when" though...aheh, tedious work it is.

If anyone wants something specific done with them, let me know and I try to have those pictures cut out sooner than later. I got one sig that I'm making right now(Tgrant), but after that, I'll see what I can do.

A little something for the Hungry - i have had work the entire weekend, but today i found these little puppies in my mailbox.

I bought them from Ebay(.com) so they are imports from America. They cost me a mere $8 in total - and i personally believe they are worth a heck of a lot more! This is only 6/7 i have the 7th one is just the MK logo - but if you all want to see it i would be more than happy to scan it.








pretty cool huh? I really wanted to open them, i thought they actually were when i bought them, but since theyre still sealed. I'm going to keep them that way

My Mortal Kombat II Official Collectors Magazine came through today!
I am still wandering what to do with it - because it's sealed. However i want to open it because:
More pictures inside
A Hauge Poster (of the front cover) that doesn't need detaching from the magazine
And of course i am just curious as to whats inside!



What do you guys think? open and read? or leave and admire?

I had owned all four magazines, removed all the posters (illustrated by the guys who worked on the MK comics) and hung them four-square on my wall. They featured profiles on three characters per issue, along with rather boring Acclaim interviews, a feature on a new MK-related product (The Journey Begins, the Malibu comic series, etc.), along with stuff any MKII player already knew about at the time (i.e., how to access the hidden characters). I'd say go ahead and open it.

Oh God, those MK1 cards. I still have a bunch of them, but sadly, I've lost most of the character/storyline cards, which to me were the only ones out of the set that mattered. I even had some of the MKII cards when they came out.

Thanks for sharing all these images. I have some classic stuff like this I'd like to post as well; should I just go ahead and open my own thread?

heh, i have opened it my brother managed to convice me. But i did it careful so it slides back into the packet.

To me these are amazing because they were never released in the UK - and there are few people in the UK that like the game (they seem to bum street fighter).

I am currently on a mission to aquire:
The rest of the MK Magazines (and the posters hopefully! The guy reckons he has more of them sealed up in boxes found at the back of the shop he owns!)
The Mortal Kombat II "Classic" Card Collection Including the Elite ones aswell.

well i am free tonight so i guess i could get started. Because of the size of my scanner it is too hard to scan the actual pages - so i will focus on getting the art out of the book (as thats the main eye candy we want to see

I can't really get all of the pictures - most are covered up by stickers unfourtunately. But i also managed to clip out the cool and complete "drawn" stickers that are in this book. There are more in my own copy - but the book is so worn out and damaged i don't want to risk destroying it. It also has very strong sentimental value (which is why i wouldn't risk destroying it).

its defiantly up there on the rare list.

but id say the top would have to be the mk board game. ive only seen one one ebay in the last 8 years.

dude, i have MOST of the original MK1 midway cards from back in the day.
should i perhaps scan them and post them somewhere for everyone to see?? i also have a small handful of the MKII midway cards as well if anyone wants to see them as well. let me know.
