thanks everyone.
Very good, I like how you didn't exaggerate the blood like the actual game does... although, the exploding head could use some blood too. It also shows that you're gradually getting better and better as you keep releasing these newer ones. Great concept, clean animation, the overall idea is great. 5/5

I'll tell ya what, it looks waay better than that scorpion thing you made.
1. You're missing a style. Seems like you have yet to figure out the many ways to "put on a show" with your animations. This will come with time, so don't worry about it, just keep it in the back of your mind as you make these things and you're presentation will get alot better.
embed ex:
"Impressive effect" (also a manipulated embed)
2. There's little stuff like Kabals outreaching arm, and the fact that Liu Kang doesn't fall. These things happening simultaneously should make your gif much larger frame-wise, but to us, not seem like we're seeing many frames at all. You should have a lot of frames that move really quickly during these transitions. Here's another example:
How did I color both symbols, and then make one cross the other in the animation? = Frames. *Look at the file size of that very small gif*.
3. There's also a reasonable point in an animation to loop things. Or, what you could do, is use a fade out effect to reset the canvas.
First sprite animation Can you tell where I looped it?
4. Doesn't look like you know that the blinking white screen during an explosion causes seizures, headaches and all kinds of crazy stuff for some people. You need to stop doing that as soon as possible. Plays to the sub-conscious....blah blah blah.
If you use it, make it more subtle. Notice, in the dragon animation I posted above, I faded the white screen out a bit, and made the whole animation smaller. Still, I had to stop using that style. Just remember that the bigger and brighter that things blink, the more agitating it is to the eye.
5. Editing, and setting the sprites in place before coming to the animation table makes your job harder on the front end, but much easier, and much more rewarding on the back end when you're finishing things up.
Anybody that wants this avatar can have it btw. The kid I made it for never accepted it, then got banned I think.
So anyway, yea. Just a few tips.
Later.
