I actually considered entering Krimson again since I redesigned her during the time after the tournament. And since we aren't forced to be set within a certain story point, it would have made it easier.

But my new character is from an unused idea of mine... I hope I'll get motivated enough to finish/submit. Lolz.

Edit: I wonder if we'll see another role-play and how would it work out with the characters in possibly different points in the story?

Are all of the entries going to end up in a bracket to face each other or are there only a handfull that get selected?????

I pretty sure all of them get a chance, but if they are [not good enough] compared to the other one, they will lose. Say if I were to go up against Mick Lucifer (if he is even participating). See, I lose.

On the other hand, I hope it is a bracket, that would not just look cool, but show us all of the contestants. I hope they are revealed soon.

I have everything done except the alternative costume it's driving me nuts I have to get those creative juices flowing

I bet you'll come up with something good ! Knowing you have participated means you'll probably beat me, I didn't even turn in a picture for the alternate costume, and I don't have a scanner !

I don't have a scanner too , I sketched a quick concept on paper ,took a photo and then painted everything from scratch. When the tournament begins I will post my original sketch just so you can see how far off it is from the finished painting.

Everyone'll go into the tournament. Number of entries will decide format.

Remember guys, you don't have to draw your character's costumes.

If you're not that good pf a drawer, or just don't feel like drawing, you can always use other outlets like Heromachine, or games with character creation modes like Soulcalibur V or Mortal Kombat Armageddon.

I'm not that good of a drawer myself, so I tend to use other outlets. If I had Saints Row The Third, I'd totally use that.

I'm entering this one.

My character dates back to my childhood when I was 6 1/2 in November of '93 as MK II arrived in arcades. I was there watching my older brother play it, and I was very curious, intuitive in those days. I asked "what happened to the one that went into the green water" when I saw the Dead Pool's stage fatality, and after getting questions of mine answered, BAM. She initially started out as a fan character, but over the years, she's evolved far past that and has become a sort of major poster child that embodies so many different things about me as a person and my ideals as related to my beliefs.

I am most proud of her and I can't wait to show her off to everyone in due time, assuming all goes well ;p Just note well: I'm NOT an illustrator, and so all references came after I initially created her in Armageddon. Said references were via requests or commissions.



BUT I HAVE ONE BIG QUESTION: When in time is the bio and ending to be situated? Is it for Armageddon in the original timeline? Or is it at another point? I ask because I went and took liberty to redo details for the rebooted timeline, to allow my character to participate in the new timeline, in my own mind. Of note, I also entered the character a few months ago into the contest for the MK Bloodlust fan-game, and the bio I used in THAT contest entry has become my default from which to edit and rewrite whatever is needed to get things to work for whatever point in the timeline/s as required.
And also, I ask this because of the presence of the X-Ray Attack in the contest entry's info which it wants. If it's the rebooted timeline because of the inclusion of this detail, then let me know as such.
I want to be sure of this, so that I may have everything correct the first time.

Can the bio and ending be in first person?? First time doing this. Also can we just use an existing fighting style??

I think having the bio and ending in first person will give your character a more personal take, making him/her more likeable, so I say go for it.

As for the fighting style, if you mean existing martial arts styles then of course! But if you mean an existing character's style of combat, then that could be considered plaigerism. However, I do believe your character's fighting style can be based on an existing character's style of combat, but I'm not really sure. You should ask Mick-Lucifer. Well, I guess posting here is pretty much asking him. lol

Heh, I made one months ago, but haven't been on in about a month. Almost missed the deadline!

Not until game day.


I'm sure we'll have something. Not sure how much it'll influence things, but split time periods/realities should add an interesting new area for people to negotiate (if they like).

KAKsters might also like to add their names to KFL Season 2013 and RP and challenge each other there. May or may not give people another factor to work with (if they want to throw some skirmishes in).


Now might be a good time to remind everyone to make sure their e-mail information is up-to-date in their MKO profile settings. Everyone from last year got an invite, but obviously not all mailing info was current. Obviously always best if you're on the site to check for yourself, but it's a nice back-up to have.

Thank the Elder Gods ! I had Baji Quan and Crab (I think), two fighting styles that should still be in the games [Deception ---> Onward).
