Match 1 was the closest but ravyn to me had the style of scorpion with the chain so that was a downer for me
Match 2 was easier to decide as i thought of poison ivy when i read about nirvana and didnt like the similarity (my opinion)
Match 3 this was a no contest in my opinion sorry but not enough detail to adslers opponent

I think it's apparent to those of us who are following this kontest intently but to the others I'm not sure. Everything keeps on getting buried underneath all the Skarlet hype. A sticky might just as easily be ignored.

Maybe a news post is the best method but I'm guessing that's not the easiest thing to create.

I agree, I think its clear enough for anyone following, and once the skarlett hype dies down again we should get more input.

on topic, these fights are getting so hard to decide...I will explain my vote later in a edit for the kreaters (as usual) but here goes. This was even tougher than yesterdays!

I am out so now I am not voting. I think some of the judgements on my character were not on my character and was on me instead. I expect the judges are people I had beef with in the past. Either way I am not discouraged or sad...I am rather frustrated and a bit mad. This site has seen the last of me.
To those of you who will end up knowing how this feels and think that its not a big deal...think about it a bit and realize why certain people that normally would be in the contest are not and than think about how they treat you on the forum. I don't care what anyone says...not 1 judge voted me and half of this community sucks. I will miss a few. IceBaby...take care girl and acidslayer good luck with this half assed contest bud. Crow you played nice but your no different than Razor or Chrome. To those that want an MK guide stickied make your own because I am taking it down.

Dont be a sore loser man, bow out with pride. Saying u lost because of grudges takes credit away from the creativity of your opponent. People gave u alot of good input on your character, including myself..I may have been harsh, but pain breeds strength, so suck it up. You had a kool kharakter and I was looking forward to the evolution next year into Eclipse. U were matched up against a tough character, and I imagine it would be a good fight in the game. Cmon son.

Good match in the game you say? she is a big bug for Christ sake...and one that is overly exaggerated and poorly executed. Cmon my a$$...I am gone. Sure I won't be missed. It's a little extreme to say things like this. It's sort of to be expected, but to call this contest "half assed" because you lost is pretty offensive to me. I spent countless hours putting this together, and the fact you're overreacting all because you lost is pretty disgraceful. This is something I take great pride in running and I bend over backwards for this website, of which I receive no profit from beyond the good people here who appreciate my work.

I'm not going to address it any further. You're being a sore loser, plain and simple. You knew coming in that only one person could win this contest, and that the chances of a loss were at 99% (being 100 characters). A vote against your character is not a vote against you as a person nor does it mean your character is "bad". If you are at all interested in constructive criticism, I would suggest checking out the newslead thread in a day or two to see what I have to say about your character.

Hey man, chill everything is fine this contest is just for fun I am sure if you stop and think about how much fun you had creating and anticipating this contest you will come to understand that you had a time of your life so appreciate thеse memories.

Don't mind him/her crow,though i would dislike getting no votes too,saying that you did no work is going a little far. I can attest that you took my constant revisions and was the reason i was able to get any images(as i lack a scanner) so you have my appreciation for your work whether i win or lose.

And to Lycan your character was not bad,in fact i had trouble deciding who to vote for in that one,people just liked khaali a little more. So hopefully you don't leave over this.

As for my voting reveiws here it goes...

Match one. I picked Khaali. It was not easy though because I really did not want another Shokan. Luna had a few things going for her. Her wolf moves were what I liked best(especially the second fatality) and I thought Nightwolf should have been given these in past games. However I did not like the bio. I can't see Raiden attempting to create mortals, I don't like how Luna showed up out of nowhere, and the story just didnt catch my attention. The ending had a nice touch to it when Nightwolf entered her body and her name changed to Eclipse. That was cool.
As for Khaali I mentioned I did not want a fourth Shokan. But her story and spider fighting style were enough to take the win. Her moves although hard to imagine in game seemed very unique. No copy and paste to 'em. For a gal she was BRUTAL and SCARY. And come on... She looked pretty good naked. Nude and in spider position always gets the pervert vote. lol

Match 2. Although I have a very hard time imagining Erebus' move in an actual game he still got my vote. Although I shook my head at him being "The most powerful necromancer in Outworld" his story was decent. Not amazing but it held my interest. Overall Erebus seemed more MKish than Ekimaru. Ekimaru is not a bad character at all but his special moves weren't very inspiring. His first fatality reminded me of Smoke's fatality. I did however love your second fatality. Very nice and gory. It seems like you went very traditional on the asian aspect of your charaters story. But it just wasn't enough. He did look cool though. I'll give you that. Good luck to him in round two.

Match 3. No offence but Terra is outta Malcoms league. Terra got my vote. Traditional by almost all measures which is not a bad thing. She also had great earth powers. I dislike bringing more God type characters in but this was a goddess. As for Malcolm... he was too basic. His story was too much like Kabal and Sonya. There were a couple of positives though such as the second fatality, the flashbang grenades, and his victory pose where Sonya is involved. Not enough though and Terra gets the win. Ill do round two later.

Two tidbits:

- I really wanted to vote for Ravyn but giving her a chain spear as a signature weapon? Wow. Automatic no vote from me.

- @LycaniLLusion: Bro you lost largely because your character grammatically and stylistically wasn't that well written from a technical standpoint. Like plenty have said previously, the core concept is decent but the execution/presentation needs some cleaning up. Most users have been mollifying your apparent hurt feelings while trying to offer some sort of constructive feedback. Also, the powers section was peppered with "it looks like so and so's powers" instead of establishing your own unique descriptions. As a result you effectively left an impression of borrowing from other characters which further hindered Luna's distinction.

I understand that you had some emotions wrapped up in this but once you calm down and take a step back, you'll recognize that the majority of people liked your concept of Luna, just that it needed some tweaking.

If another one of these things comes around and I have to be a judge who reads all this stuff, I'd like to see a few simple things next time:

- Characters who are contemporary figures
- Characters who can offer simple answers to simple questions
- Characters who do not claim to hold stature over existing figures
- Characters with a concise and consistent theme or design concept
- Characters with plausible tone, design and moves for an MK game
- Characters who do not resemble or utilize existing MK trademarks in design or moves without a good reason

I can't vouch for voting, but so far it seems like it wouldn't take much to shoot to the top of the list in the quality stakes. A tasteful, straight forward character with a hint of perspective doesn't seem like a lot to ask for. We're overrun with wannabe superstars and embarassing fan-fic cliches.


EDIT: This post wasn't directed at anyone in particular, but, uh... that's not to say anyone in particular couldn't take a lot away from it.

My good sir, it's all a friendly competition, if everyone was out to get you, you would not have gotten any praise. Luna was good, but so was Khaali, don't take that away from her creator.

You should still keep voting and not be offended, the only expectation people should of had when they entered this competition was to get feedback on their character, I don't expect to win and I don't expect to even advance past my first match, all I'm hoping for is constructive criticism.

Don't leave the competition just because you lost, I rather like your designs and you can always offer feedback, winning is NOT everything.

I'd also like to say that although I've been here for almost a year, I dunno about the complex relationships around here, but Crow and those who helped him organize this put a lot of hard work into doing this for all of us, I think that was an extremely harsh thing to say to Crow and the other judges simply for having an opinion you don't like.

If you're gone because of that, well that's just sad, but good luck.
