Match 1:
Ravyn - her empathy abilities are very original and her fighting style with the chains is quite interesting too....her appearance is not so great but overall she sounds really cool!

Match 2:
Nirvana - awesome powers and fatalities. interesting in the eye as well!

Match 3:
Ataxia - come on! a female chaosrealmer HAS to be interesting....though I wish her bio was connected to Havik or Hotaru a bit. her bio seems a bit rushed..other than that i like her.
1. GENDO - Sindra I really do love your character so this was possibly the hardest match to judge so far, but it was the use of the weapon that made me vote for Gendo, its just so iconic to scorpion and I cant get away from though I do commend your balls for using it though ;) 2.NIRVANA - There was nothing wrong with your character at all I just found Nirvana was more to my taste 3.ADSLER - Daylok again nothing wrong with you character other then I felt the bio needed to be beefed up a wee bit. This contest is just going to get harder and harder.

Fight 1: Ravyn - I have some doubts as to the way some of her moves would actually be animated or used in-game, but the concept is unique, fresh, and as much as we don't need another ninja, we all know we want one.

Fight 2: Nirvana - We haven't and a nature character yet in MK, and though I am loathe to have any more Gods on the scene, I'm liking the concept. Moves seem a little overpowered, but are fresh and unique. The last bit of the X-Ray seems unecessary though. Okorik was an excellent concept, but his fighting style makes no sense for a Japanese samurai, and only one of his moves is really that original. Fight 3: Adsler - Story still seems a little contrived, but the concept is great, and she has a geat moveset. Adaxia had some outstanding moves, but the story was all but non-existant and left her with "Frost Syndrome," feeling like a conceptual copy of an existing character,

1. Ravyn (Sub has Frost so Scorp also needs a female version)
2. Okorik (VERY strange notion but somehow awesome)
3. Adsler (even more bizarre but kicked ass in the preliminary stage and also now)

I have to say, Match 2 was extremely difficult to decide on; Okorik is a great character too!

Ravyn
i just dont really like the whole 'dabbles in lots of different kinds of magic' thing that gendo has. ravyn was overall better, but giving her scorpion's spear was an AWFUL mistake on the creator's part.

Nirvana
simply from an originality point of view, plant power > shadow power.

Adsler
great entry as i said in the prelims, should go far.

To address the people who are criticizing my choice to give Ravyn a chain spear and saying it's too much like Scorpion -

I gave a concise explanation for as to why she has the chain spear. It should be noted that her original character concept had her as apprenticing to Smoke as Frost did to Sub-Zero in the original timeline. When the timeline changed in MK9, they did away with the origin that Smoke also had a spear-weapon like Scorpion, I had a tough decision as to whether or not I wanted to keep the weapon for her, and ultimately choose to keep it.

So basically, everyone saying that she's "too much like Scorpion" because of the weapon (even though she utilizes it more as a slashing weapon) must also think the same way of Smoke back in the MK2/MK3/UMK3 games, because he was the exact same thing - a character who has one move that's the same as another character, but a totally different move set and separate altogether. Mavado having the hookswords like Kabal could be said as the same too, and Frost having similar moves and weapons as Sub-Zero.

Point is - I urge people to look past that one issue and realize that, just because she has a weapon that similar to an iconic character of the series, does NOT mean she's a copy or unoriginal character. I worked hard on her.

It's playing with fire no matter how you rationalize it.

Don't worry I completly understand what you did, but I really could decide between you and your opponent I loved them both, and the spear was the only thing I could find to make the decision.
If it at means anything to you, I think your going to win anyways and I'm more then happy to see you make it through, as I said before I think yours is a supurb characte.

Match 1- Ravyn

I went back and forth between these two characters but Ravyn just appealed to me more in the end. Also I don't think Scorpion should have the market cornered on chain weapons. I know its signature weapon but Ravyn actually used it a more creative way. I have no problem with the weapon choice.

Match 2- Nirvana

Again we had two very cool characters and I had a hard time choosing, but I finally decided on Nirvana. I think she has a little cooler concept and story. Also I think her and my guy Khibok could be friends. grin

Match 3- Adsler

I know everyone is voting for Adsler but I had a hard time with this one as well. I thought Ataxia had a very cool movelist, and I could actually see her in an MK game. However Ataxia's story left a lot to be desired and made it clear that Adsler was the winner.

And again good job everybody! I wish the winners good luck in the rest of the competition and good luck to all of you in life. smile
