Your anatomy sucks and, if I'm not mistaken, this is traced/copied, right?

No I didn't actually. I am getting better at drawing. I got some good help from some artists, and I took classes last winter. This has been a drawing I've been working on off and on over a while.

Believe me, it isn't traced. Why submit something if it's traced? Besides, I suck at tracing. I get to pissed at myself when I'm doing it because I always screw up.
I did, in fact, look off that page of Siang the whole time. I try to give my art the old time paper look to it. Like the papyrus look. Plus, my scan feature sucks.

Yeah, I looked off of it and drew. It's how I roll. I didn't know you asked me if I looked off of it while I drew, I thought you asked if I just traced it.

It's okay. *pats on Xel's back* Just remember, there are better artists out there than me. I am still learning.
Jeez, what's with all the bashing of the new artists on this site? That's how you welcome new talent here? So what if he drew from another picture, it's called REFERENCE. You guys are going to falt him for trying to grow as an artist? Glad I left this site.4/5
BTW, RaisnCain, sorry too busy.

Agreed, let's try not to be childish about all this. And "RaisnCain"... just to avoid confusion, make sure you at least clarify that you're using a reference the moment you post something, you don't want to be accused of plagiarism or anything or anything of the sort...
For what it's worth, the drawing's cool, but I'd like to see you use what you've learned from references and such, to make your own drawings and poses... nothing's going to be spot-on at first, unless you're a savant or something. And one last thing people: Let's keep our criticism constructive.

So far, reference is how I am learning as of late. Thanks RUFIX.
Oh, and don't worry about it RUFIX, I have become busy myself.

Yeah, next time I will. This is how I am learning. Later on, after I've taken more clases, I will make the characters have their own poses. Until then, I am working off of reference.
The constructive crticism is respected and welcomed.

Well, judging by this it's not that good. Just being honest so, since it's not a trace it kinda makes it worse for me. Though, I've been looking at the actual comic renders in the Cut out thread and on my computer too much to really appreciate it much.
"E" for effort? 2/5 because you actually drew it yourself.

Thanks for your honest opinion Pred, but I didn't draw it from that cut out render you have above, I actually drew it while looking off the real comic book page as a reference.

wow,im.......amazed, i havent seen a drawing like this since, i went to the comic page on kamidogu, but who cares, its awesome, sure its a copy, but its so remniscent of the first one, if your still learning, than you will be an excellent artist......Perfect Score........
P.S. i made a fan fic game......again,in this forum
Some of you guys are the reason why a lot of artists have left this site or don't regularly contribute stuff anymore. Drawing isn't simply some talent you are born with... some are more skilled than others of course, but everyone has the potential and even the best have to start somewhere. Art isn't something you are magically good at; this is a step he is taking. There is nothing wrong with drawing what you see... if it comes out well (and I believe it did in this case), you're on your way to being able to draw more and more original content.
Art critiques are important to the community, but just being a jerk is not.

No, noh that's not what I meant. I meant that even though it's a "bad" comparison to make to the original, I still think it's good considering you drew it yourself//drew it with a reference....or what have you.
Don't worry man, I'm not so anal. lol
