Mortal Kombat II is the blockbuster film sequel to the 2021 live-action movie reboot. Delayed until next year, the movie has a little more time to whet fans appetites during New York Comic-Con with a featurette promising a bigger action-adventure blockbuster with fatalities and more. Watch:

Newcomers Karl Urban (Johnny Cage), Adeline Rudolph (Kitana), and Martyn Ford (Shao Kahn) lead a chorus of actors and director Simon McQuoid hyping the arrival of Johnny Cage, and all the super-sized action the sequel promises to contain.

Footage shows off Urban's movie star martial artist as he confronts the supernatural challenges of Outworld and beyond alongside Josh Lawson, returning as Kano, and Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada). The footage also gives us more Baraka, Noob Saibot, and Shao Kahn.

Mortal Kombat II comes to theatres May 15th, 2026. Does the new featurette have you stoked for the sequel? Share your thoughts about the sights & sounds in the comments below. Explore more movie mayhem in the Media & Merchandise category.
