No I will not share any previous drafts with anyone as to not spill the beans and potentially ruin the film.

Based on the previous November 2018 draft, according to The Nerdreactor, we have this information:

Some of the mythology was ditched and some characters changed for the vision the studio wanted. Some of the replacements are interesting and hint at a much richer history. So I read the latest draft (November 2018) and I have to say that I am impressed. Russo did a lot of work to the script, and I can say that a few things I have mentioned before have been corrected. Sub-Zero, Jax, Liu Kang, and Shang Tsung have been given expanded roles. The Cole Turner character (Lewis Tan) has been given a name change, and overall it is a vast improvement over previous drafts. It still has the feel of an MCU movie, and much of the lore has been changed. But compared to adaptations of other games (Resident Evil) the characters are still treated with respect. And it is gonna be violent... Oh boy, is it gonna be a bloodbath.

I would love to have a more in depth conversation about this if possible?

I always look at it like other adaptations that have turned out to be good movies. The dark knight trilogy is nowhere near an exact adaptation of the comic books but is praised for what it did. I would love to see this movie turn Out to be something special and everyone that I know has read the script says it looks like it will be fantastic. So it has me extremely excited.

Conversation about what? I'm not giving detailed spoilers from any of these drafts.

I would love to have a more in depth conversation about this if possible?

The 2018 script is what I heard about. I also have heard more details on the 2016 script. I’ve been trying to hunt down more info on the 2018 script. I was just wanting to know all I could about it but I understand if you can’t give anymore info on it. I am curious though have you ever read the script that had tancheroen attached to direct? The first draft by Oren Uziel?

I have not read Kevin T's script or Orien's but if you encounter it let me know please.

That’s honestly the one I am most interested in reading. Mostly just Because I would love to see what the original vision was for the film compared to what we will end up with on the big screen almost 10 years later. Do you know a route that I could take to try and find the 2018 script myself or is it just something that I will probably not be able to get my hands on?

It's not something you can get your hands on. My advice is follow Mechad (sic) Brooks on Instagram and Greg Russo on Twitter. And of course this thread for any updates anyone of us brings here. Greg and MB will be very cryptic and personally I recommend that.

With that said I will only be dropping cryptic hints from the 2018 draft and production from time to time in this thread.

Here's your first one:

So far it appears the movie is being filmed somewhat in the order of the 11/2018 draft.

Yes that is official concept art. I have it along with full details at my site:

I host a lot of unknown gems from the movies and media at http://www.wskel.com/MK/

The link is also in my signature.

That is awesome I will definitely check out your page. I feel that the original script and concepts like that will probably never see the light of day from the original screenplay with KT attached to direct.

Wait a minute... this guy isn't on set yet? Hogwarts is a far cry away from Outworld...

Maybe not all the actors are there yet because their parts are not coming up on the production schedule for a while... or... maybe not all of MK will be filmed in Australia? https://www.instagram.com/p/B2mU5JdHN4l/

Remember that photo of Lewis Tan meditating and the Internet freaked out thinking he was Kung Lao?

It actually appears to be from the training center the cast were using to do fight and stunt training mid-August. There will be flips!

Hmm... this is very interesting...

Does it throw wrench in the "filmed close to the order of the script" idea I suggested, because... [redacted]? Or is the September 5, 2019 draft that much different from the 11/2018 draft?

Seeing as to how I don't have access to the shooting script and the extras I have contacted are keeping to a "vow of silence" lol - I have no clue. Productions don't want to waste money paying accommodations for cast members if they aren't working. On one of the films I worked on cast members were flown in and worked the same day and when filming wrapped flown out the next day. Major cast roles or "producer favorites" normally have a per diem which also includes personal time on company dime lol.
