Mortal Kombat Movie Reboot (2018 Script Draft) - Spoilers Ahead

Joe Taslim and Lewis Tan have both updated their IG stories, Joe's are a bit more cryptic than Tan's and briefly shows the call sheet before stopping at MK11 (Scorpion cover). A donut play video covers. Some may not have anything to do with the film, and since they are stories I'm not using the spoiler tag for this one. A variety of weapons are shown from the Martial Arts training center is pretty much the only solid things are we are seeing.

As for costumes, we have yet to see anything set or production related released. A new coverage video, a BTS scene design video, and lots of training videos are really the only things released so far. I'm hoping we start seeing major coverage in October, marking the first month AND one of the anniversaries to when Mortal Monday began.

By the way, when this film is released to theaters in 2021, it will be the 29th anniversary since the release of Mortal Kombat and 26th anniversary since the release of the first film. In 2022, 30 years will be the anniversary of the first MK... why am I saying this? It relates to this film.

As for the Josh Lawson knife training video - that wasn't in the 11/18 draft so I cannot say for certain if it's an incidental spoiler or just part of his training. I can't really imagine them being trained to do anything beyond what the fight choreographer planned although the 11/18 draft has a lot of specifics to what moves they do, there is definitely a lot of openings for more. It will be very interesting and the devotion put into the martial arts will be a treat to anyone who enjoys martial arts demonstrations. Not all that dancing we seen in the 1995 film. I also can't say for certain among the actors who has true martial arts training before this film but if they've been in a martial arts medium, such as Tan in WuAssassins, it's safe to say he has some martial arts training. I cannot say about the disciplines without finding this information myself.

Spoilers for today: 1) Mortal Kombat Fighting > Gladiatorial Combat 2) Scrappy 3) Gritty and real 4) This famous MK character earned his right to fight in Mortal Kombat by killing a man whose occupation was selling children (if they keep this in, this is a throwback to '80s style films with guys like Don "The Dragon" Wilson) 5) Kid in danger ; Stranger Danger 6) Would you sacrifice yourself to save the planet Earth? 7) Go to the MK Warehouse site. This artifact or relic from MK1 makes its return... and with a more defined meaning than before.

Holy shit, I can't believe I missed this! In Joe Taslim's IG story about fan mail, he leaked part of what appears to be some kind of souvenir cup, like a mug, that reads "Mortal Kombat Krew" and has the bottom half of the coiled MK dragon bathed in flames, officiating this is the official logo and choosing a lighter shade of blade with light white as a theme!

Week 2 of production on the MK film is complete! The production team should be moving to the next location soon, the media and script/film order per location suggests Coober Pedy but that isn't set in stone.

Remember - In December 2018 the Internet media said James Wan put the MK movie on the back burner. A lot of us felt that was true and forgot about it. I wouldn't be surprised if they pull a stunt like that again - this cast and crew has been trolling harder than Ed Boon.

Joe and Lewis sure are spending a lot of time with each other. Do you think it means they have a lot of scene together? Also Lewis posted a dummy of Joe. Do you think that would be used for a fatality on Sub-Zero or that is just a costume model?

I'm also surprised Joe is shooting a lot now without scorpion.
