Looking forward to season 2 treading new territory.

I appreciate this but 'The Journey Begins' indicates they'll do more. If i had to guess, i think Sub-Zero's next in-line (although that may not be ideal). I think it's more about the story than characters.

I hate to say this, but I have to be honest, I am not really digging the art style they went with on this one. That, combined with the MKX inspired designs for some characters (not my favorite looks as far as aesthetics go) makes this look a little ugly in my opinion. That is not to say that I have no confidence in the tone or storytelling of this project; I am hoping for a somewhat faithful adaptation of at least the MK1 story line, and I think animation in general opens up a lot of potential. I hope this goes in a good direction and results in more animated projects, hopefully with a slightly updated art style.

Some slightly upgraded MKDOTR stuff is going on here, graphically. Probably a swift but cheaper option art wise.

Not sure what this means. There isn't even a season one, this is a feature film. And what does SSDD stand for?

Season 2, a sequel, follow up film, whatever the hell you want to call it.

I think @gorostilllives said this because seasons always consist of series/episodes (what ever TV genre it may be), whereas this is a single film (not to say there won't be a next part).

Ok but why are you already anticipating a sequel for an animated film we know very little about? This animated feature film appears to be the MK movie remake based on the established game timeline that the live-action remake clearly isn't.

Why aren't Kano Sub Zero and Scorpion on the boat?

I think they bide in the lower deck shackled confines of the Nethership vessel in this part (or the orlop deck).

Only if you like Scorpion being treated as God-King Scorpion. They really overdid it, and every single other character suffered for it.

Watched on Amazon Prime Video. There were some very humorous parts of it. Pretty good action.

Now that we have this stupid, fucking, idiotic "multiverse" concept from MK11, this movie is just another one of the many possibilities how the MK story could have gone.
