Younger Sub-Zero didn't get the scar until his second game.

I don't understand why everyone assumes that this cannot happen, that we cannot have two Sub Zeros, and if we do, it means there is no Noob.
You CAN have two Sub Zeros in the game (UMK3) AND you can have Noob in the game. This game spans the timeline of MK1-3. During MK1, if this does not change, Sub Zero the elder dies and becomes Noob, then Subby jr takes his place. This is a timeline of two games it crosses. Sure, it happens in the story, but there is no reason, though, that you cannot still have both Sub Zeros and Noob playable for the whole game vs modes.

Look tardy pants, If this game covers MK 1 - 3, then DUH, of course old subz is in, as will be the young, and almost definitely Noob too. Calm down. It's what happens to these characters that can change, not their existence.
Chill. This also gives us a chance to see younger sub with an awesome, different look than his bro, since that was bothering so many people.

This is what I believe will happen as well.
Woah, it's been a while since I made my last post here but I got so excited about the news on MK that I started visiting again and I decided to get back into the action!
It's cool to see such a good article from a brazilian website, and it's very interesting to know that it's the old Sub... I'm really thrilled about this game and I love the back to the future approach.

Totally agreed. I'm still under the hoping that this game will be everything we've been praying for years, having so much content that there will actually be an "evolution" of the characters. Like, Sub Zero turning into Noob, Jax getting his armoured arms, etc.

a bubububu bullshit
If this is true I think the fans of the younger Sub-Zero should be worried for one reason: the way Hector reacted to being asked about both brothers being in the game.
If the younger brother was going to be worked in the exact same way as before why did Hector shut the interviewer down the moment the younger brother was brought up? Especially after so willingly confirming the Sub-Zero we're seeing is the older brother.

Is there a guy in a blue ninja suit?
Can he freeze things?
If the answer to both of these questions is yes, I couldn't care less which one he is.

Seems to me that the younger Sub-Zero is going to be automated.
....I dunno what to think. It's just weird that they would eliminate the Noob Saibot character, which I'm guessing they're doing because of this news.
I'm glad about Raiden and Shang Tsung, though both of them being in the game was a given.

Hey fellow MK fans.
I am so glad my article got linked here.
To the skeptics in the crowd I have to say: I stand by my story and that is the information I got, "classic Sub-Zero" were his exact words.
You'll just have to believe me on this one until the MK Team officially announces this, but I assure you, I am a journalist and as such, have never published something dishonestly. It is not something I overheard or a rumor, if it was, it would be clear in my article.
Believe me or not, thanks for reading and giving your input.
Stay brutal,

I don't doubt your credibility, but it's possible that in the chaos of E3, Hector jumbled his words.

well from seeing all the moves the Older Sub Zero has in the Demo, What move can they really give the younger one?
i think as you play threw the game Noob will be unlocked and Sub Zero will have a new costume been his MK3 look and the younger brother, keeping the same moves. As the Older Subby has become Noob

I'll be glad if Noob Saibot is not a playable character in this. To me, it doesn't matter which Sub Zero is going to be in it, older or younger, as long as one of them is and has the signature special moves.

Well to be honest, whilst I enjoy the story of any game, including MK, the main priority to me is the gameplay and how it plays and if it is fun to play. Story comes next. If I was more interested in a good story above all else I'd read a book.
It doesn't really matter that much if the Sub Zero in this game is the older one or the newer one. The Sub Zero in this game will still retain the same design and special moves. I never really cared for Noob Saibot or his story anyway, it was alright but I'm not going to cry if he's in this game or not...

Well, it's not like Subzero is a small part of the series; he's one of the cornerstones. So if someone just sees Subzero as an abstract compilation of special moves... that's kinda disheartening.
