Brazilian Interviewer confirms: THIS SUB-ZERO IS THE OLDER ONE!!!
Gus Lanzetta, a brazilian reporter and interviewer for the site IG attended to the E3 this year, and had the chance to actually play the new MK with the game developers.
During his interview with Hector, the exective producer of the game confirmed that this Sub-Zero is the older one, from the first game. So the interviewer asked if the game will have two Zeros, and Hector said "Stop asking me questions that I'm not allowed to answer! If I keep answering, someone will ask me 'Hey, a brazilian site has a lot of information about the game. Is that your fault?' "
Also, Hector said to Gus that Shang Tsung and Raiden will be indeed playable. In another interview, Steve Beran revealed that the Living Forest will have a Stage Fatality.

Link not working. Not good news if true.
EDIT: went to the site, but of course, the language barrier kept me away from the details. Interesting find, though.

I really hope this isn't true. While Noob-Saibot wasn't my favorite character, I did play as him every so often, and I really enjoyed his story.

Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves. There's no reason why the older and younger Subs couldn't be divided into two costumes.
Then again, this is a disturbing bit of evidence that Subzero may be automated after all. *shivers*
Then again... um... again, the interviewer may have misunderstood, or Hector had a brain fart, or the entire article may be fabricated.

I agree, let's not get too over our heads with this. While I won't say that source isn't credible, it is interesting they would have this information over the "big" sites. I love Noob Saibot, I really do, but if this is true, maybe something big is up their sleeve. We just have to wait a bit longer.

Shall we join our hands in prayer, bro?
Hey fellow MK fans.
I am so glad my article got linked here.
To the skeptics in the crowd I have to say: I stand by my story and that is the information I got, "classic Sub-Zero" were his exact words.
You'll just have to believe me on this one until the MK Team officially announces this, but I assure you, I am a journalist and as such, have never published something dishonestly. It is not something I overheard or a rumor, if it was, it would be clear in my article.
Believe me or not, thanks for reading and giving your input.
Stay brutal,
Gus Lanzetta

Oh yes. It will be like that scene near the end of Stephen King's "The Stand."
Minus the dying old man, of course.

I think Scared Sub-Zero should be an Alt skin for Original Sub (same move set). And then have Noob Saibot as Secret unlockable character with a different move set. All 3 appearing in story mode.

That's just a disgrace to the Sub-Zero we've known since MK2. I'd rather him not be in the game at all if he'd be an alt costume for someone.

Not really a shock, since Scorpion is more of an anti hero now. Better to bring back the older, evil Sub-Zero, and not his goody goody younger brother.

I really wanna see what evil sub does, I'm excited by this. I liked the sub-noob angle but i'm in favor of seeing how much damage old sub can do.
I was already expecting this before it got reported. Im sure this game is gonna have a giant, elaborate story mode. Once we advance to the "MK2" part of the story, the selectable subzero will probly stay exactly the same but just have a scar on his face, signifying that he is now baby-bro subzero (im gonna safely assume that Scorpion murders older-bro subzero in the story) Then we'll probly see the Noob Saibot transformation in the NetherRealm... "You have unlocked a new kombatant" LoL
I personally love this concept in MK and i hope the continuity here doesnt change. My jaw hit the ground at the end of MKdeception when it was revealed that Noob Saibot was Subzero's brother! I wouldnt mind if Noob wasnt playable in THIS game tho. I'd rather see a Human Smoke with an upgraded costume and move set.
I assume this game is gonna conclude at the end of MK3. It would be pretty sick if in the ending movie, we see Shinnok on his thrown in the NetherRealm. Camera pans out... Noob Saibot, Quan Chi, and maybe Reiko are present in the spire. This would set up the next MK game (which i guess would cover MK4 and beyond?)
