Of course it would be a change. However, the topic of this thread is about how one would have done his story differently. The second suggestion I made is in relation to the idea of having the overall story be a full reboot. So with that said, even if Sub-Zero was a cyborg, at least it would be in its own universe instead of an idiot plot centered around trying to change the past. Also, it wouldn't involve Sub-Zero being victimized like he was in MK 2011's story.

I could see with what you're saying Sub_Zero 7th. We didn't really know how Sub-Zero got turned (Same with Smoke in the old timeline)
What's done is done, we don't know what's going to happen to Sub-Zero. I didn't mind like I said so many times Subby being a cyborg. Could we please move on and discuss something else.

That first sentence is my only saving grace.lol. It's exactly as you said. We never saw it happen. We saw Sub-Zero, then we saw cyber sub-zero.
They didn't play the same, and it wouldn't be hard to say it wasn't Kuai Liang.lol.
That body is feminine as hell too.lol. Nothing like Sub-Zero.
I'm hoping they pull a case of mistaken identity and Sub-Zero escaped in outworld, and finds his armor early.
If not then just pull a Sareena revives him. I just can't see Sub-Zero staying cyber, it would just be weird. I'm starting not to mind it happening as much as I don't want them to continue it. They did it, that's cool, now just don't keep him that way forever.

"Spitting in the face". LOL. so much butthurt about something not that significant. At least you've got your human Sub-Zero in the game. And we never know how the story will change in the next installment.

I read people saying that Cyber Subbie's body looks feminine... I don't see it. He's alot more slender than his human look, but feminine?
I really don't see it. To me it seems more like you guys are just searching for reasons to hate him. But oh well, it gives me some good laughs when you guys are bashing eachother, so please, do continue. ;)
Oh, and just for comparison: THIS is a feminine body...
You see the hips, thighs and ass on her? That's a curvy, feminine look. Cyber Subbie has nothing like it.

Well try a pic where he's standing up straight.
If a girl were in that wide stance, you wouldn't be able to tell how much bigger her hips are than her waist either.

I think that Shang Tsung spelled "Baraka" a tad differently, with more "K", in Chapter 1: Cage. Don't you notice anything different? These are really subtle differences no matter what. As for Ermac, it was at least discussed back then that Ermac would be spelled differently in his video biography.

What? I think you mean pronounced, not spelled.
And both cases sound the same as always to me, so I still don't really have any idea what you're talking about.

I mean "pronounced". Compared to this and other occasions where "Baraka" is pronounced, there is more "K" to me in Shang Tsung's pronunciation. Really, there is. (I'll check the Ermac thing then later.)
There is this topic - that carries an alias of a "forum game" - you should certainly check that out. It is of a graved importance at the very moment. It's no serious business but Foxtrot Uniform November, also known as "FUN".

...What were we talking about? Oh right, birthing-hips.
Well, let's outline his figure on the pic you posted where he's flashing his naked bomb-hole at us like a dirty tramp:
Well I'll be honest, I don't get the feminine vibe from this facing-forward shot that I usually do when I'm seeing him in-game and he's moving around and facing different angles and whatnot. Still seems like he's got a bit too little waist for the rest of his body, though...
Y'know, I've got a pic of him sitting on my computer here, it's the dev art, not a screenshot but still, let's have a look:
See, my brain definitely goes "geez he's curvy for a dude..." when I look at this one. But I guess I can see how someone wouldn't notice because at least his chest is still pretty fla--
--aaaaand from that angle it looks like he's got a big metal bra on. That's just lovely.
I dunno, whole thing's an "eye of the beholder" matter I suppose, but it's not like I'm the only person who sees it so there must be something to it.

I don't see the hips, but I definately see the thighs, like a bodybuilder or something. Also with the pecs. But I still think he looks slender and definately male.To fit his human form, he should definately look bulkier like Sektor does, but I like the more sleek look for Cyber Subbie.

Just so everyone knows. Look specifically who RedSumac responded too. Just look. Other people have stated their dislikes of cyber subz just as I have, yet he responds to me. I wonder if he just searches and waits til I respond or something?

Boo-hoo-hoo. That's the best you can do? I didn't expected anything more than that, however there was a very little hope that you'll be able to respond with something more meaningful and actually relevant to what I said.
Just so you to know: I don't hate you. You're not that big of a bird to deserve my hate. Though I find you entertaining to observe "What dubious arguments this guy will pull of out of his...sleeve?"-kind of way.
In all seriousness I respond to you, because I find your arguments illogical and fanboish. Something that don't observe in another people posts about the matter. Somehow others can state they opinion in mature and interesting way. While your complaints...well, I already said what they are most of the time.
And back, when many other people were bothered about CSZ I responded to them too. You're the only one who still act like his revelation was yesterday.

I agree, nothing about him looks feminine to me. He just got slimmer in the process I guess...
Well, if Sub-Zero, Cyborg that is, is being talked about having a feminine body, I guess I can also say that Sektor and Cyrax have that look as well.
Come on, they're both robots who are built somewhat in the same fashion, I see feminine stuff in there.
/sarcasm... There's nothing feminine about cyborgs unless they literally have boobs themselves and it is a female cyborg, there's nothing on a male cyborg that looks feminine. Guys can have a slim body, I know a few, and I don't see anything feminine about them.

No see, that was part of my point, Sektor's wide all over and Cyrax is thin all over, both of them are proportionally the same over their whole bodies. Cyber-Sub is the only one of the three whose waist is really tiny compared to what sits above and below it and it makes him look awkward.

0
The whole subz being cyber thing has nothing to do with me thinking he looks feminine though. A lot of people may think that, but it's not.
If this was cyber anyone I would still think it looks feminine. Cyrax is thin, bordering feminine but stil proportionate enough that he passes as a thinner built male. Cyber Subz looks feminine to me though. His waist is much thinner in comparison to the others in my opinion. In some pics he looks manlier than others, but in most pics he just looks feminine to me. He has an hour glass figure I guess is what I'm saying. Also since this is Sub-Zero it shouldn't be this thin either, because as a human he is one of the larger males.
Sektor does not look feminine at all. He looks nothing like either of the other two as far as build goes.

There sure are alot of mixed opinions about Sub-Zero turning cyborg. O.o
Sub-Zero was never a favourite of mine, but though I think he looks cool as a cyborg, I would rather he stayed human along with Smoke. Sektor and Cyrax are cool as the only two cyborg ninjas. So I'm wondering if Sub-Zero will return human in the future games or stay cyborg. I know he was cyborg in the Netherrealm in his zombie form along with the other dead kombatants, but I hope he returns as a human and then maybe have a cyborg alt or something.
I don't think Cyborg Sub-Zero has a particulary feminine body, but more that of a bodybuilder with a slim waist, but big pecs and thighs. It's also typical for robotic characters to have a slim waist, as it is one of the bending points of the body. The curve around his hips is because his legs are attached there, so it is the bolts which are making the curves, so I don't think it was intentional to look feminine, but more robotic-like, if that makes sense. It is typical mecha to look like that. Example below.
Cyborg Syb-Zero's moveset is lacking originality. Only his icy counter is his own, the rest has been copied from other characters, however changed so it isn't completely like the moves they are copied from. The only move that is exactly like the one it is copied from is the teleport, originally Cyrax's. That's just bad and lazy of Netherrealm Studios. When introducing a character, either a whole new character or a former character changed as much as Sub-Zero was, there needs to be some originality to that character to make it stand out and be an individual instead of looking like a bad copy of some other characters. It wouldn't be bad if he had kept all his moves from his human form, as it is basically the same character, but if the new moves added should be original.
His ending was also boring, imo. First of all there was no voice telling the ending's story and second, Shao Kahn taking over his body and turns him into a mecha Lich King lookalike was just lame. I'm not a big fan of what-if endings, I prefer those endings which are plausible that could actually happen and which makes sense! We got a canon storyline through the Story Mode, but I wish the Arcade Ladder endings were leaning more towards the canon. That's just my personal preference though.
Um, I think that was all for now.

I'm glad to see a person who isn't a fan of subz take up for his human form anyway.
Also the last two paragraphs of your discussion are another point about cyber subz. Some question whether he was a last minute addition or if he was just simply not taken seriously with his moveset. His ending also is dumb. Although the cyber kahn thing looks cool, please NRS let's just not go that route. If we start turning a character a game into a cyborg it's just going to be ridiculous. If Kahn somehow get's reborn let it be by another way besides taking a cyber body.
Also, the other point here is I see people are still completely dismissing the endings all together. I really don't think we should count our chickens before they hatch on that though. No one has said that the endings are completely what if. There are quite a few whose are completely plausible still. Jade's being number 1 in my opinion. I loved her ending. It was probably my favorite.
Also, who is to say that Scorpion doesn't somehow feel responsible for Kuai Liang getting automated, it's a long shot, but you never know. Then he could find a way to revive Kuai Liang and they would both take down Quan Chi. That would leave Sub-Zero's ending somewhat canon as well as Scorpion's because he would be murdering Quan.
My point is this is the first game to have a story like this, the first. We don't know one way or the other whether they will just throw things out from storymode or not? They have most certainly done it before.
I've given examples of things that they just easily retcon as well. Like Scorpion dying in DA. He got his arse thrown into the soulnado, only to find out in deception that it happened but the elder gods didn't let it go through. They saved him and made him their champion.
That's just one example. There are many others. Who is to say that they won't be like oh yea Quan Chi had their bodies, but that wasn't their souls? Or Yes, you saw cyber sub-zero, but that wasn't really Kuai Liang. Yes, Jade was injured badly, but the woman in her ending brought her back to life.
They are all possibly scenarios for Mk10. We are all just speculating at this point that just because they gave us this story mode that it is 100% the true story. That could not be the case though.
Like I've said before, Didn't the end of story mode in Armageddon depict Taven winning Armageddon? That obviously didn't happen because Raiden and Shao Kahn were fighting at the beginning of this game showing everyone else as dead. Anyway, that's the end of that discussion. Just saying endings shouldn't be thrown out as just What-ifs. For all we know they could say Oh yea the endings, they were canon. That story was one big What-if. We just don't know enough at this point to get a clear judgement on what is canon and what isn't.
