I'm thinking this is def jade... they just changed the color to throw people off. I mean come on if the outfit was green it would be insanely obvious. If it turns out to not be jade, my money is def on Sareena. I actually really like Sareena but not enough to take away a spot from a mk1-umk3 character.

Skarlet isn't a real character. She was a rumored character that never really existed but fans sort of spread the rumor that she did. She was basically just the female ninjas (Kitana, Jade, Mileena) in a red outfit, but there are no official pics of her because she doesn't exist.

Personally, I think it's the super secret character everyone has been to afraid to mention....."Blood"

Y'know how people used to say that there was a glitch in MK1 where Scorpion would turn red and the game called it "Error Macro" and that's where Ermac comes from?

Well that was a lie. There was never any such glitch. Rumors are rarely true. But they catch on anyway because people either fall for them or just think the game of spreading them is fun. And eventually, Midway decided to make Ermac a real character in UMK3 because "hey, we're already making palette swap ninjas in every other color of the rainbow, why not get red and orange or purple in there too?"

Well in MK2, people tried to create the same "there's a glitch that turns them red" rumor, but for the girl ninjas. They called this Skarlett. (Or sometimes Ruby, 'cause, y'know...a ruby is a gemstone just like jade)

There's never actually been a Skarlett. But they made Ermac real last time they were in the MK3 era, so they might decide to complete the set now, as it were.

They never did make that brown ninja.... wonder why?...
