Shortly after Shao Kahn's forces killed the Edenian Ruler and took over the realm, spies picked up word of a plan of Kahn's to unleash a great evil from the depths of the Netherrealm. Kahn's mission was to capture souls, and release them from the Netherrealm, a task which he was sucsessful in completeing. I like the backstory, not so hot on the image.

I 100% agree with Jaded-Raven. I loved her hair in MKD, it looked really cool and the "floaty" style suited her so well (hated the stiffness of it in the fatalities though).
Also, I don't want Sindel looking super young. After all, all those comments regarding her age are just fan assumptions. I think it's pretty clear from her game appereances that she is definitely more mature/older looking than all the other females in the game. She doesn't look like a grandma, but, she definitely doesn't look like a teen or in her 40's which is perfect.

It is a beautiful art picture, but, I do feel like she looks waay too young to be Sindel. Make her look more mature + add the white eyes and its perfect.

I always assumed Sindel's body was still rather young. I mean, she's still certainly perky enough. She killed herself when she was a young mother and Kitana was still a child, and I don't THINK your body ages while you're dead, so when she was resurrected I just assumed she picked up where she left off, albeit with some "undead" banshee traits (white eyes, white hair). I always reasoned that mentally she'd be rather old, but her body remains in its prime, letting her duke it out with the other MK fighters with nary a single physical setback.
Give her pupils and make her hair all black, and she could pass for Kitana's sister. She's more "otherworldly" then old looking, but physically I've always felt she had a very young body, resembling a healthy, attractive woman in her late 20s, early 30s.
