Just because she has red hair, and knives? The Lady in Red uses kunai, not that toothed knife like Kano's. Also, why would she dress so drastically different? From a masked, scantily-dressed ninja to a leather bustier and leather pant-wearing woman. That's quite a jump.

kenshi is not much of a surprise as he is quite popular, and one of the few new characters after mk3 that is not laughably designed. kenshi just fits the mk universe, as does quan chi, though his story is not as important as quan's. however, despite the debates about their moves, kenshi and ermac were too similar in the past. i hope kenshi can bring something to mk9 other than being an ermac clone, like before. lady in red i am rather surprised is not already on the disc -- her model is chained in kahn's arena. then again, its genius marketing to have this mystery women constantly shown chained in the background so fans clearly can see her and when she is released as dlc you know people will swarm to have her. and kintaro... thought he would be on the arcade ladder, story mode, etc already, so he i am surprised is dlc. if they are just making you pay to play as him i will likely pass. as for rain, the article says they are revealing 3 of the dlc fighters, which implies there will be more than 3 released. rain fans should have no fear. keep in mind rain was teased to us back in the arcade days. for several months people tried and tried to figure out how to play as rain due to his appearance in the arcade attract mode. it was quite a wait for him to appear on the home versions, thus i would not be surprised if boon makes us wait for rain, like before. or he may be the 1st dlc available, who the hell knows! either way, i like how all 3 dlc characters look so far, i just do not like the thought of paying to unlock a boss. oh and if lady in red is kira i am gonna vomit. sorry to anyone who likes kobra, kira, dairou, etc., but they all SUCKED in design and gameplay in mkd. kira was a pale filler for the real kano and sonya. do not ever take away such legendary characters and replace them with a little girl with red hair. thats something i can find in soul calibur, or any jap fighting game as they have a pedo thing for lil girls in games. whew, there, got that off my chest. so, no, just no, no, no to lady in red being kira. let us never speak of kobra or kira again, please.
