I really wasn't expecting Freddy to be in Mortal Kombat. Ever since I heard the rumor about him and Jason being included as a Halloween DLC I must admit, I got really excited for it. I've always wanted a game that featured horror movie villains fighting each other MK style. Now that i've seen this trailer I honestly can't wait for this. I have all of the Freddy movies so him being included is like a dream for me. Thank you NRS for making this a unique character to add to this already amazing game. Oh and all of you who are pissed off by this I understand but let me just say, we can't do anything about who NRS decides to include or not. Getting mad won't get you nowhere. Just don't download him and problem solved

I for one, am all for Freddy.
He's not a dull ninja like so many MK characters are, he's unexpected, and certainly different. There is no point in a new game if all they do is give us old characters we've seen and played a half dozen times before.

I think Freddy has the best intro in the game, I like how it appears as if he was summoned into the fight.

Ok back on topic it is. I just wish people would give NRS the credit they deserve and see how far MK has come! Yeah it's a guest character. BUT this is big for Ed and Company! They're finally getting more respect besides their ridiculous longevity. We're back to fame and glory and this is what will propel MK further in the future! This move to Warner Bros. is the best thing to happen to MK!

I never liked horror but freddy krueger is an icon in horror.I'm getting him though I hope he comes with awesome classic skins.But the main reason is because my cousin loves horror so he will love playing as freddy.I'm still saying wtf on his two gloves.and why he doesn't talk smack while killing you.

I've got an idea for Freddy's ending!

While Freddy was involved in the events of MK, some guy was observing him, enraged. When he saw Freddy defeat Shao Kahn, his heart litterally exploded.

He then wakes up. It was just a nightmare!

Selecting Scorpion on the select screen, he hears the announcer says "Freddy". "WTF!" he says. During Scorpion's intro, as he jumps out of the hellhole, a giant hammer knocks him back down, and Freddy drops off from the sky. The player pauses the game to change characters, only to find every characters' mugs has been replaced by Freddy's.

"AARRRGHHH!!!!!" the guy goes. His veins burst, his brains come out of his nostrils, ears and mouth, and he drops dead.

Freddy looks like a mixture of Kabal and Baraka lol

Anyway, as for me, I've never seen the remake, so I'm not really annoyed that he looks like that version.

I honestly think that Englund would have given his likeness, but WB wanted to keep it as new and relevant as possible, so they chose to use the remake.

I might get him if I can get the money. I have also stated that MK9 is now complete with unmasked Sub, while it's not "REALLY" unmasked Sub, I can live with it.

Hell, even if he doesn't have his scar, I'd be fine.

Okay here's the possible reason why we see Freddy here today.

Well this game got so popular that it got the attention of the rights owners of Ash, Freddy and Jason and asked to be removed..even though the game was free.

Though they'll still be in the game. This probably sparked the idea into WB's head. And what better time to do it then now with Mortal Kombat.

That's probably why you see Freddy right now.

I can't wait for the Scorpion cameo in the re-release of Nightmare on Elm street. I might have to buy three copies.
