I'll take Freddy over anyone on that list. We need new characters for this game. All the characters on that list would be better for MK10.

I guess it's more of a blessing though. I don't want him, so I don't have to download him. I don't want to fight him so I don't download the compatibility pack. And the people who want to can go ahead and do it.

The main thing annoying me is that i bought skarlet cause i didn't see the season pass then i saw the season pass before i finished downloading skarlet i canceled the download but IT STILL CHARGED ME FOR IT! So now i have the season pass but its like i have already paid FULL PRICE for all of the character including the one i should have got for free so now i DO HAVE TO download him or i am wasting money so not only am i not impresed with freddy and wasting money if i don't buy him he is also ruining the feel of my game.FUCK WB!

FACT : NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO BUY FREDDY AND MK9 STILL EXISTS AS A GAME.

Now lets talk Freddy's moves. Looks like

1. Glove Projectile = basic projectile attack

2. Low Projectile = basically Kabal's buzzsaw

3. Ground Glove = seems like a zoning move with three different distances similar to shangs ground fireball

4. Swipe Uppercut = could just be part of a combo, but looks a lot like Skarlets d,f,2 pop up swipe move

5. Teleport stun ?? = Anyone notice that when reptile uses the forceball, Freddy sort of waves his hand and then teleports in front of Reptile, but Reptile goes into a sort of dazed sleeping state when Freddy appears in front of him ? Could be a very interesting move. Imagine something like smokes teleport punch, but if it lands you go to sleep instead of getting hit, and the hit box is invisible.

X-ray looks like a basic forward attack , and doesn't look like you can combo after it.

He seems like a mix between Shang Tsung / Kabal with fast normals like skarlet.

don't go to something you don't like, and definitely don't post rage comments about it. I can deal with the "Meh, I'd rather have reiko/tanya/fujin" comments because those are opinions that they are just stating. But when people go "OMFG NRS is a bunch of assholes, guests characters should die" that crossing the line from an honest opinion to a 12 year old temper tantrum.

Especially when the hate is directed at NRS like they made the choice. WB owns the franchise and tells NRS what to do. NRS is just doing their job. And if it wasn't for WB, NRS wouldn't have jobs because they would have all been let go with Midway and there would be no more Mortal kombat.

I love Freddy being in this game and will definitely download him, he's one of the few that would deserve to be in this game: maybe Pinhead, Leatherface, Lepricaun, and Djinn from Wishmaster; I don't see them changing Jason/Michael Myers into fast-passed slashers it could degrade their character.

Seriously? ONE person is making you leave the game. You obviously have problems and deserves to get kicked in the nuts. Why complain on why its not a regular mk character when this game is mk 1 through ultimate 3. We were never gonna get some character from deception and all that stuff. Maybe in the future, but not right now. So deal with the fact that its freddy and continue playing and not bitching and crying that its a guest.

Yeah, people are mad about this. It's their choice. Alot of people wanted an MK character and feel like a non-MK character is a bit of a waste. It's their opinion. Why does that mean people have issues?

Oh well, I'll just sit back and chill for a while. I hope that we get some more MK characters for DLC, but if not, it's cool. We got a lot out of this game, and I've enjoyed virtually every part of it.

Freddy fans, you got your wish, so good on ya. Really. No harm, no foul.

There is no difference, as much as I love Rain, people can go ahead and bash him. I'm not gonna care because I like Rain, that's end of story. Most people do like Rain and his reboot. However Freddy is getting more criticism than any of the other characters, and even more than Kratos.

Sad thing is that if you think about the reality of why they would include a character like Freddy, then those assholes you speak of are actually not far off the mark. I'm totally unsurprised that they went with the money grab again, I mean they've already done it twice to us. I'd take any MK character over Freddy, but I'm not going to throw a shit fit over it simply because I'm used to these stunts by now.

On one hand, I think its pretty stupid to include characters not within the realm of the game itself because I feel like it just takes away from the actual storyline of the game. How are we supposed to take Freddy Krueger seriously in a universe that he could never actually be in? On the other hand, PS3 got Kratos, who again shouldn't be in the MK universe IMO, but some people have liked how he plays.

I wouldn't have rather had anyone from MK4/Gold, even Tanya, to be honest. Obviously, the sequel will be all about those characters, so bringing them in too early is like trying to squeeze additional, recognizable characters into an already full game for its time period. Kenshi, for example, is a good character in MK9, but I don't feel like he "should" be there simply because his time didn't seem to come until Deadly Alliance's place in the timeline. Now to contradict myself, I would have liked to see Havik instead. I think that if any characters from the future MK games should have been added, it should have been some that were mentioned in some form or fashion within the Story Mode of the game or in another character's ending. Havik, being mentioned in Noob's ending, was obviously around at the time and could have easily been slid into the roster instead of Freddy.

So, at first, I was a bit upset by the announcement. But I'll get him I suppose.

I really don't know what to make of this. On one hand, I am intrigued by Freddy's gameplay and I just want to trust NRS in giving us a quality character.

On the other hand, Freddy just seems like such an out of left field choice I feel really confused lol.


Oh well, they've done good on the other DLC characters so far, can't really bash this one til he's actually available.
