You know I just sort of shrugged off the rumors as just that but now that its true all I can say is...

HELL YEAH! I know a lot of you guys are gonna be pissed but you have no idea how long I have been waiting for a horror fighting game, and it looks like this is the closest I'll get.

My only complaint is that it isn't Robert Englund but whatever.

Apparently, this concept isn't quite clear, so let me explain it:

If you downloaded Skarlet, Kenshi and Rain, you got your money's worth. If you plan on getting Freddy, you're getting a little extra. You did not waste your money. You got exactly what you paid for. Three DLC characters, and a fourth one free. So....... why are complaining and asking for your money back? You would have paid the exact same amount without the Season Pass, and you did not pay for Freddy in advance, cause you didn't pay anything for Freddy. That's what free means.

I didn't think the mechanics of the Pass were all the complicated when I bought it....... You get Skarlet, Kenshi, and Rain regular price, and then you get a free mystery character.

Also, I'd like to point out that I have not gone after NRS here. Just WB. So all of you anti-free thinking people can shove it if you're going to come at me.

Like I've said I'm a Freddy fan, but I wasn't jumping off the walls when I saw him. I mean yeah it's cool and all, but what irritated me the most was the community on here, people on here who are "higher ups" that usually keep order and stability on this site or at least showed maturity resorted to immature and uncalled for comments that made them seem like spoiled children.

I can't deny being disappointed, and I won't be buying Freddy or downloading the compatibility pack, I know I have that choice so it's not so bad.

But I do sincerely hope Freddy makes them a shit ton of money, because the more money they make off these DLC, the more chance there will be future DLC characters. You know, characters MK fans actually want to see in an MK game. So yeah, I do want him to make them lots of money, but they won't get my money this time unfortunately...

On one hand, this isn't what I wanted. At all. I've been a staunch "no guest characters please" proponent for a long time. Even if I wanted Freddy, I wouldn't want THIS Freddy (Englund for life), and I'd want him wisecracking and talking, instead of zero dialogue.

On the other hand, it looks like he plays well, and I'm sure he'll make far more money from casual fans than from the hardcore purists like me that just wanted more Mortal Kombat characters in their Mortal Kombat game.

But, thankfully, I didn't buy the Season Pass, so I don't have to get him. I'll watch some Youtube videos and wait for the inevitable Jason (you KNOW he's coming. You're kidding yourself if you don't think so).

It's a smart business decision. I'm not angry. Just disappointed.

Sometimes I just feel that the MK team doesn't want to make an MK game; they want to make a MUGEN game with Superman, Kratos, and Freddy Krueger. But that's a trend that a lot of fighting game companies are doing because there's an audience out there for EVERYTHING. I'm sure even the California Raisins have fans that would like them to be DLC in Mortal Kombat.

For me, thankfully, I at least have the option of picking the ones I want and ignoring the ones I don't; though I do feel it was a bit shady to advertise four Mortal Kombat fighters for the Seasons pass and only release three and one overhyped over-the-hill horror movie icon (from the poorly received reboot, no less).

So, no rage here. Just disappointment.

NRS, WTF? He's only supposed to have one gloved hand, not two (so fix that error). On another note, it looks like he has pretty sweet fatalities. I guess I'll have to wait and see if I except him as a kombatant.

You really can't blame the NRS team for wanting to add new or different or guest characters to the game. Some of these guys have been working on the franchise for 2 decades now. I'm sure a there are more than a few members there going "For all that's holy, can we PLEASE do something different and not the same crap we have been doing the past 20 years?"

Definitely a let down, hopefully we get some awesome news on the future of Legacy to make up for this.

That's why you create new original characters, and don't make a reboot to begin with.

Also, the "Gonna Eat you up" Scene would make for a much better fatality than the furnace one no matter how ridiculous it looked in the movie.

PEOPLE, Him having two gloves is NOT an error. I'm pretty sure it was intentional. He is FIGHTING after all. Him having two gloves is like a weapon of sorts.

It's not a mistake.

As for the two glove thing, that's pretty much for game balance.

You don't want to have the hitboxes or range on his attacks to be different depending on what side of the screen he is standing on, so you basically have two choices. Either have the claw teleport from one hand to the other anytime he jumps to the other side of the screen (which is what Capcom does with Vega) or put a claw on both hands so it doesn't matter.

Drahmin had his club on only one hand. They could've made it work. Just throwing that out there.

I'm becoming more and more convinced Sareena will play a major role in MK10.
Of course I can't be sure, but I get that feeling.

Similarly, I doubt we will see her in MK9,
but who knows?

The internet is full of cinical douchbags. I can't stand it. It's freddy krueger and that is awesome... there will probably be more dlc and seriously if you are one of the little girls crying about this, get a life. Cry cry cry. This is cool as hell. You don't even know how he will play or be balanced and you're crying that its a guest character. I have a 360 and didn't get a guest character, so this is awesome. A lot of people who don't go on these cryfest forums will buy it and your opinion is nothing compared to the majority of people who game. This is just like the bungie forums or any of the other comment sections of every website. Full of trolls and children. Krueger is awesome and bring on more guest characters.
