Awesome, My guess is that the last slot where Cyber Sub is can cycle so you can choose other characters not on the select screen thats is probably why there is two, 1 for each player .
Since Kintaro,Goro are expected to be playable,lets not forget Kratos and of course DLC Kenshi and Lady in red or whatever they decide to call her it would make sense to make a slot cycle rather than redesigning the select screen to accommodate new characters as they come.

Cyber Sub officially has my vote for coolest looking character, but haters gonna hate. Also, the fact that he's under the DLC slot gives strength to my theory that the "hidden" characters (including Kintaro and Skarlett that are available for DLC) will be redeemed by doing something to unlock them in the game and then downloading them with a code you are given (unless they are already COMPLETELY on the disc like Cyber Sub may be).

I agree with all saying that Quan's tattoos should not be there. Other than that though, this looks pretty good.

Do you think it's possible that Quan Chi looks the way he does because they're using the character that they were putting together for the DLC of MKvsDCU? He was going to be the first DLC character for that game before the company folded. So maybe they didn't want to waste the work they'd done already? I dunno.. it's only an idea.

Ok I understand. Remember in tekken 2 how you can go all the way to the right and left and completely off the screen? Seems at the bottom right and left you can rotate those left and right to get access to other characters. I'm willing to bet my right nipple and left nut that this is where you'll see Khan and Goro and the like.

I'd kill for someone to highlight Sheeva and Smoke so we can see their versus portraits like Quan Chi and Cyber-Sub in this pic.

Because I'm dying to see if Smoke's hair looks as bad in a bigger pic, where we can see more of him, as it does in the thumbnail portrait.

Sheeva I just chose because she's the only remaining character besides those three we haven't seen in much detail. :P

But really, Smoke it the one I WANT to see, hehe...

Cyber Sub looks very cool. I'd say it's the best cyborg design in this game.

As for Quan Chi...that's stopped being funny already in the MKvsDC. Now that's just redicolous. C'mon. It was 9 years after MKDA was released. Is that hard to create new design for the one character? I mean MKDA Quan Chi is cool, but this design was used in practically every single appearance since MKDA. Even in the games where this appearance didn't make any sense, like MKSM and MKvsDC. Part of the reason that I was glad that he will apear in MK9 was hope that in this game, where most of the characters were redesigned, he will receive new costume, but....
Oh, well. There is always hope for the alternative costume. Though I suspect it will be his MK4 attire.

The arrows might just open a popout menu that allows you to select your character from a list too.
