So now , based on the order of the characters in the character select screen, who will be playable from the start, and who will need to be unlocked ?

I always assumed the top 16 slots would be playable, and the bottom would need unlocked, but I can't see Sonya, Jax or Kano being locked away considering Sonya and Kano were both from MK 1, and the three of them are not really that "special". I would have thought Noob, Smoke and even maybe Jade being locked away, but they are towards the top.

The select screen is going to look really bad with locks randomly placed all over the place.

In all honesty, you'd think Sony might have something to say about that.

Not gonna lie, but Quan Chi looks boring. On the other hand, Cyber Zero looks boss. For him appearing on both sides of where the DLC slots were, I assume that you can open up a new slot roster for the other characters (like Kratos). I don't have any complaints on how the character roster is placed. I love it.

I still think Kahn, Goro & Kintaro will either be unlockables. Or unlocked through DLC sometime in the future.

They'd obviously occupy the same two slots Cyber Sub-Zero is in in this pic, which I've already stated earlier in the thread, I assume are homes for DLC and "Super-Unlockables"

I further assume these slots will also be home to Kratos, Skarlett, Kenshi, and any other characters who might come along and need a place to stay on the select screen.

They'll go "Hey, look! We got one more character than those Xbox users!"

Doesn't work that way. "Allowing it to happen" isn't an accurate description, we don't have much choice. What's the alternative, lock the threads and pretend this doesn't exist and drive away most of our userbase to some other website? We regret this happens, but we can't sweep leaks under the rug like they haven't happened. People are going to find it somewhere if not here, it's bad business to do what you're suggesting.

I'd prefer these types of situations not constantly arise and they unfortunately have since MK: Deception came out. Once they happen, there's not a whole lot we can do.

Well honestly I love the way CSZ looks,I wasn't too hot when I first learned of him. But he looks a lot like Predator! Everyone else looks pretty sweet. Surprised and ecstatic my fave male Quan Chi made it in! He looks awesome and can't wait to kick ass with the most powerful sorcerer! HA!

If that's really cyber sub zero he looks pretty damned good IMO. Quan Chi is the opposite of what I wanted though. I like his original more armored look better than that. Again if that all is real.
