Scorpion and Sub-Zero look ok but Raiden and Johnny are aweful. I really wish NECA would get the license or better Hot Toys (though that would seriously burn my wallet). Still I'll probably pick these up since they're the only MK figures availible atm. I do hope we get a Shao Kahn figure though. Despite being disappointed in his design in the new game, I've been wanting a figure of him since I 1993 and I'll take what I can get.

I don't know what you expected from a Kryb. Look at the body and tell me there was a better way with that character. Some aliens just weren't drawn with action figures in mind, man. None of my human GLs have problems standing up with or without bases pegged to their feet.

I think it would have been the easiest thing in the world, really. It's the fact that she's got one leg just going all the way out behind her, and another out front. It wouldn't have been the most dynamic pose in the world, but I think she'd have been much better off copping more of a squat, so to speak. She just needed proper centering.
Do you have the Star Sapphire from that line? Her feet are basically pinheads. I have to lean her against a wall.

Don't forget that their second action figure line, Masters of the Universe Classics, are only sold through an online subscription. The Ghost Busters were exclusives too. Even the last wave of movie masters was only sold at Matty Collector for a while. And honestly, I remember trying to find the Knightfall Batman, and it took me a month of searching at least 20 stores before actually finding him. I've still never seen half of the ones I want. Also, Jazwares MK figures clogged every KB Toys shelf I saw.
With GI Joe I've always been able to find what I want, same for their Marvel line. I've never had trouble with Hasbro, even when I can't find the figure I want, it always gets reissued a few waves later. The only thing I've ever hd real trouble with was finding the villain figures from their 3.75 Spider-Man line, since the Spider-Mans shelf warm like crazy and the villains are packed 1 per case.

I gotta say that online's probably a better option for the MOTU classics though, seeing has how it''s primarily aimed at old-school collectors. Probably Ghostbusters too to a lesser extent. MOTU didn't start as online exclusive IIRC, but I think poor sales pushed them to make it as such. That's a line that I do recall a friend of mine having problems finding when it first started out (but now these DC/MOTU 2-packs are flooding TRU shelves near where I live). Damned fine figures though; I bought Hordak as he was the only figure I remember owning as a kid.
We're having opposite experiences for the most part; I got ahold of AzBats easily enough. Only DC figure I missed utterly I really wanted was Gentleman Ghost.
When the GI Joes were pouring out, I was pulling my hair trying to find Major Bludd (who did later flood the market). I got lucky and nabbed the 'Joe' version of Storm Shadow, but I had to do it online as I never once saw him in stores. And oh my god, they should have just sold the B.A.T.S in five-packs. First carded one I saw had to have come a clear four months after the wave hit. One thing that they did with that line that bothers me was the constant re-releases of certain figures they never bothered to improve, or if they did, it was just barely. Duke had the same awful-mid-forearm swiveling claws through most of the line IIRC, and the amount of times they packaged Cobra Commander with some other figure available nowhere else...ugh. I think I had like four of him by the end.
I'm not having much trouble with Marvel save that I haven't seen Thanos around...though I'm not really focusing on too much else apart from X-Men characters. My only real gripe with the line is the questionable choice for incentive figures that are highly desirable but impossible to nab, like classic Havok or, for some reason, a Bullseye who's actually black. My local specialty shop is selling that one for 40 goddamn dollars.

Thanks for posting this Ive had my Ermac pre ordered for quite a while now I think he comes out in august or something. I might buy more of these since the SM series was so rare I have a custom Ermac made from the SM scorpion and that base figure alone cost me $170
