Kratos is an interesting guy, in the fact that he doesn't care what happens in the MK universe. He's the wildcard. (Like Scorpion was in the original timeline)

I like Kratos, but I can't really think of a way to put him in.

However Freddy fits in PERFECTLY. Why? Simple: Johnny Cage!

Hell if filmed before MK1 or inbetween MK2 and 3, Freddy fits right in.....


And remember, he's a movie character...treat him like one. Maybe Stryker or Liu Kang watched one of his movies and his image appeared in their dreams...so now they must fight!


In all seriousness though, I do think that a dream villian like Freddy or Nightmare (Marvel) would be a pretty interesting Mortal Kombat character.

Why not go the easiest route and make Freddy an alt costume for Johnny? You could whitewash it away with something along the lines of Cage being one of Robert Englund's stunt doubles.
