Epic!!! Kratos fits perfect in MK

I'm seriously nauseated at the sight of these two ninjas. I can't stand looking at them anymore it's not even funny.

I was expecting some sort of gameplay video involved in the trailer, too. Isn't the revamped gameplay a major selling point of this new MK? Or was I mistaken, and it's all about Scorpion and Sub-Zero in HD? Uncreative as hell. That whole "big day for MK!" was straight up bullshit, and if this is really it for the weekend, then I fucked Netherrealm Studio's mom last night.

Now, if Jade isn't in the game, I will be utter disappointed in NRS. To focus on a character that is not even theirs over one of their own. I won't feel good about having Kratos in the game until Jade is confirmed, that's for sure.

If Kratos were to take a spot, which is highly unlikely. We'd have Rain, Sheeva, Baraka, Liu Kang, Kano, and Jade left to be added. (not including bosses and sub bosses). Out of those six people I see Baraka, Kano, Liu Kang, and Jade making it. I get the feeling Sheeva and Rain will be left out for dlc or something.

Either way...if there's a character from MK1-MK3 that doesn't make it, I would assume they will be DLC. DLC has to be characters people will actually WANT to buy, not just random leftovers. So expect the MK1-3 characters to be top priority in DLC if they don't make it. There's not many characters from MK4-MK:A that would sell very well to make it worth their time and effort.

I expected Kratos, but how could I have been so naive to think I'm gonna see a new MK character as well. Not even any of the leaked ones...

The worst thing of all... Scorpion and Sub-Zero again! Fuck it. It couldn't have been Shao Kahn himself versus Kratos, or Raiden versus Kratos... No, it had to be Scorpion and Sub-Zero with Scorpion coming on top again.

Fuck you Scorpion, not even Mokap annoys me as much as you do.

And I don't give a shit about icons and marketing, I'm sick of it all... If they planed from the start to put Scorpion and Sub-Zero in this "important promotional trailer", then they could have at least started with other characters when they started releasing vignettes and combo trailers. But no, EVERY SINGLE SHIT has to be about Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

I completely agree. The fact that we got absolutely no gameplay is a shit stain in itself, but the least they could've done with this generic-ass trailer is show us some other interesting icons of the series. At least we've only seen Khan and Raiden once - I would've liked to see them in action again. Whoever's dreaming up these trailers and promotions needs to stop being a thickheaded little bitch and expand his mind a little.

I love the trailer en the new arena. I would rather see no guest characters in this MK game, but Kratos is the a cool character and the only one I can think of that really fits the MK universe. I’m glad that I’m getting this game for the PS3 because I have a feeling they want to put a guest character in the XBOX version of the game as well and I’m afraid they will come up with a characters that does not fit in the MK universe at all.

I can accept that Kratos is in this game as long as he is in versus mode only. And as long as he does not take a roster spot over a character like Jade, Kano, Baraka of Liu Kang. All the other characters I like are pretty much confirmed in one way or another. I personally don’t care if characters like Rain or Sheeva don’t make this game.

Despite the fact that it's just another Sub-Zero vs. Scorpion fight (like we haven't seen 5,000 of those already), I was kind of enjoying it until... ok, I'm lying, I even thought Kratos' appearance was kind of cool, despite the fact I'm against it. Honestly, I HATE console exclusives. Ridiculous ideas like that ruined Soul Caliber II (everyone got the GC version because it had Link--no one wanted the PS2 version). Just more industry pandering...

Yeah, more then certain Microsoft would treat it the same way though. Microsoft has nothing going for it for Mortal Kombat 360 exclusives. The closest fit that is still exclusive is Gears of war lol. Ninja Gaiden doesn't count any longer :(. Fuckin gay NG Sigma bullshit

Great characters. Nostalgic music. Decent storyline for a change. One guest character who fits in and NOT included in story mode. Best graphics for a mk game so far. 2D fighting style. The game looks awesome so far.

Honestly, some of you are being totally ridiculous. The MK team reads this site for a fact and this is not what you should be whining about. It's a minor issue; you don't want Kratos "soiling" your "pure MK"? Then just don't select him. It isn't very difficult. You won't have to see Kratos if you don't select him. There are just much better than we as a community could do, and this portrays us in a negative light. There is very little constructive criticism here and too much "DAMN SOLD OUT AGAIN!" posting.

I can't speak for the MK team, but I know if this was my game and my fans reacted this way to something that is honestly minor, I'd be disappointed and ashamed. All the great strides the team has made all goes for nothing because there's a guest character in the game? Let's grow up and keep our eyes on the big picture. If members of the team see this forum I'd rather them see mature fans with serious concerns and ideas to make the game better, not a bunch of people whining about Kratos. Again, if it were me, eventually I would stop taking my fans seriously if the majority of them behaved this way. I'd not be interested in what they had to say at all if this was the type of response I was getting.

If we ran into this in Mortal Kombat, we'd have something like Kratos, Ares, and Zeus... and like 13 MK characters.

Kratos is just a damn DLC character for ps3 only nuff said . pre-order the game for ps3 and you get him for free . okay ? He's not going to replace anybody . Especially since he doesn't have a story in the game . Heck , the rest of the DLC characters are either from MK4 and beyond and never before seen MK characters . Now what that means is they aren't going to have a story either . They don't have a place for the MK9 story line or well rebooted story . So Kratos isn't going to be one of those 26 characters . He's just going to end up being a DLC character that's it . In other words he's just a DLC character bringing more blood into the game .

I'll give you the sold out argument though. The Kratos exclusive is meant to lure the 13-year kids who loved God of War and Get them to play Mortal Kombat, There's also a chance that those fans become Mortal Kombat fans as well. I just want them to pay for Kratos as DLC so the NRS gets even Moar Money

As for Kratos taking a spot on the roster that roster might as well be a placeholder cuz my list here has 27 characters without including Goro Or Khan as playable. As for who they could've worked on instead of Kratos the game only has a handful of Characters that either could make the game should make the game or are popular enough for the team to give us anyway like Meat. And don't say Meat's not popular He is the real Poster boy for Mortal kombat not Scorpion.
