Kang seems to look great in game (from the tiny bit I could see) , but I really don't like his face in this render. His MKVSDC render shits on this. Massively.

That's not even what I said. I personally don't mind Liu and Kung Lao having the same ancestor. In fact, I actually kinda prefer them as related to each other, it strengthens their connection to one another. I'm just explaining why the developers might decide to have a retcon that ignores the movie reference in MK4 and says only Kung Lao is GKL's descendant. If they do that, it would most likely be because making him the only descendant makes Kung Lao's "last descendant" claim to fame stronger.

The women in this game are definitely getting tossed around like eye candy but MK's men look sexy as hell in this game too. Kang included.

He really doesn't look chinese in the render, probably because it's more of a concept drawing. Ingame the side of his face resembles Kung Lao to me so that is somewhat interesting.

Technically yeah, but usually when people say "last descendant", they mean last one alive, not youngest. It can be confusing that way.
As a side note, I agree with the people who've said Liu's face doesn't look quite right or Chinese enough in the render...but I'm pretty sure it's nothing to worry about and the render doesn't match his in-game face. In the X-Ray footage we saw yesterday, his face looked a lot more like the one from MKvsDCU.

No, you're not. But he does look more Asian in the actual game footage. Like how Sonya looked like some wild tranny in her MKVSDC render but looked feminine(at least I think so) in the actual game.

The belt and thigh-guards are a nice touch.

I kinda expect his Cartwheel move to be a regular move now that it's appeared in his X-Ray, because several X-Rays have special moves in them, like Johnny's is his nut punch, but he's also got a regular nut punch.

Other than that though, It's a real hard call...Liu hasn't gotten a new move since 1993! Even in Shaolin Monks, his upgrades were just adding the low fireball to the end of the high fireball, or going from Flying Kick to Bike Kick.

Maybe they'll draw inspiration from more old fatalities, like he could have a teleport where he or the opponent bursts into flames, like in MK3? Maybe more Bruce Lee-themed moves like a flaming Backfist Punch or knocking the opponent over, jumping super-high, and stomping on their stomach? Maybe a One-Inch-Punch? Who knows...

I'll be honest....I think the belt and leg guards are a nice touch to try and add more detail to lui kangs character.

Anyway, what kind of fatalities should Lui Kang have? He hasn't had many good ones honestly. Most of them were pretty stupid. His dragon fatality would probably be the best one to bring back, but they'd have to find a way to swap out the model because they aren't just going to have him "transform" into it. I think his MKSM fatalities are where they'll draw their inspiration from. Personally, I really liked his joint breaker one, where he breaks the guy's knees, breaks their elbows, and then snaps their neck. That or when he uppercuts your head off, then flip kicks back into you. Those two were among my favorites.

This is the best Liu Kang since probably MK2. Very well done, and I really like how he doesnt looks bulked up like he did in MKD, and MKvsDC. He has this Bruce Lee body that suits him perfectly.

In reards to his special moves, I figure he would have his traditional fire dragon balls, bycicle kick, and flying kick, with new ones, of course. I'd like to see maybe like a fire kick, or fire punch. Not entirely sure what the team will come up with, but I'm open to everything.

I like how the red flaps are in the exact same place red stripes were on his original pants, but they're more detailed and stick out more, so it really is just like they took the outfit he already had in MK2 and 3 and made it more fancy for the 3D graphics. They even have the same dragon design imprinted on them that he had over top the pantstripes in Shaolin Monks and MKvsDCU.

I also like that the ribbons around his shins are matching red, so his color scheme never gets too plain and black.

Kinda wish his socks were white like they used to be, though.

Anyway, for Fatalities, I'm REALLY hoping that he's just like Kung Lao, in that he has one classic (or combo of two classics) and one from Shaolin Monks. The classic would be the dragon, obviously, since his page says "bite me" and that was always his best one anyway. The MKSM one I'd go with is easily "Shaolin Soccer" (which is the one you mentioned where he uppercuts the head off and flipkicks it back at you, on fire, and you explode).

The dragon fatality is a must have. I don't want it to be an exact remake of the MK2 version, though. I always preferred the MK4 version where he doesn't actually eat his opponent's upper torso.

I'd definitely be in favour of something like this; turns into a dragon, takes the opponent into his mouth, swings and bashes him/her around untill he/she is dismembered, spits out whatever is left of him/her, turns back human but keeps the dragon eyes while looking at the camera.

I think it'd be kinda fun to see the dragon breathe fire on the enemy first and then start biting them, like to cook his meal before he eats it.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks Liu Kang needs to look a little more asian =/ kind of reminds me of how the prince of persia went from looking full middle eastern to european.

I'd love to see him return one day with his red MK4 singlet, I'm personally over the shirtless + red pants design. Sure, it's his signature look, but that doesn't mean it isn't getting a tad boring at least to me.

So far I'm really happy with the roster! This is going to be such a cool game, kind of like mortal kombat trilogy in 3D with better graphics

The fire part for the dragon fatality could work if done properly. In that case, I'd like to see him blow fire in the same fashion as the dragons in the movie "Reign of Fire"; breathes fire on the opponent, opponent runs around in panic and as he/she runs back towards Liu, he grabs him/her and does his thing.

This has to be carefully executed though, concidering the similarities with Scorpion's toasty.
