I love the second image of him. He looks a lot more hardened than earlier incarnations, which I'm enjoying very much. He also looks DISTINCTLY Chinese which I'm also enjoying!! Can't wait for this game so much! WOOT!

Liu Kang seems pretty good in this new game ... He is kinda a "propaganda boy" for MK , same way as Ryu is for SF .... Liu new look is better than I imagined, I hope to see his gameplay video before the game is released.

They probably only counted Kahn's January activity.

Which would still be bullshit, but I don't think that is the case. If they counted the January activities only, the ranks of other characters would have most certainly changed as well. Only Kahn and Liu changed.

The real joke is that they made a website labeled as the "official" way to give feedback to NRS, and then wrapped it in a voting contest so people would purposely spam the hell out of it. It's like they said, "hey, come to our site and tell us what you think, but first, TELL US A THOUSAND USELESS THINGS ABOUT SCORPION!!! LOL!!1!"

There was a whole load of false pretenses attached to this website. I thought it was going to be "get enough power points and we'll unlock content," and not "get enough power points and we'll give a gameplay video to Gamespot... when we feel up to it."

wow great liu kang sounds a bit weird but i can deal with that a lot that is if i don't acounter him in the arcade mode because he will just keep punching and kicking and never stop it just makes ME SO

I haven't posted here in years, but since Liu Kang has finally been announced I just wanted to express how happy I am to see my favorite MK character back in action, and is looking as healthy as ever!

I like the new outfit. The sash with the MK Dragon icon is a nice touch (looks much better than a championship belt imo).

It feels like it's been forever since I seen Liu Kang in Mortal Kombat, even though he's been in the last 3 games. I suppose it feels that way because I was never a fan of the zombie idea, and MK Vs. DC wasn't a canon storyline. Add the fact that it took forever for them to officially confirm the series' iconic hero in the new game. Though, maybe that wasn't so bad, it made all his fans speak up, which added to the positive impact of his announcement. But yeah, it actually feels like Liu Kang's finally returned! :)

Well alrighty then, just wanted to add my excitement to this Liu Kang thread. Guess I'll disappear for another few years. :)
