Are you guys looking at a different video than I am? All I see is the courtyard. I don't see any armory or anywhere else.

The background changes twice during the fight, it's kinda hard to miss.
In other news, I think I was wrong about Shang's outfit being the classic one. I caught a better glimpse and it looks like he's wearing the same thing he wears in the Throne Room stage after all.

Kano looks pretty awesome there, I like his knife loving.
I like the backgrounds, what was the 2nd one?
Some burning town?

nvrmind. I'm dumb. I thought it just got dark when Kano did his throw. Last stage is def. the armory. Second one, IDK, outworld I would guess by the tattered banners blowing in the background and the rocks closer up. This vid is much more impressive than the combo vid IMO.

That video was awesome! I'm more excited about the Kano footage and the arenas that Liu Kang. I loved Kano's strangle move and he Courtyard looks badass. Great video.

Actually, y'know what? I think stage 2 might just be Shang's Garden at night again. I'm pretty sure I'm seeing a candlelit statue or two back there.

The second stage has the statues the Wastelands from MK2 and Armageddon had so I'm guessing it's the Wastelands.

I feel shamefully lucky I got the version of Kano I wanted. Not only am I in the minority on liking his MKvsDC model (as a final canonical rendition of him), but I've said nothing but bad things about him prior to this game.

But hey, if NRS wanted to win me over as a Kano fan, it worked.

Sweet. The courtyard looks exactly how I expected. The arenas don't disappoint.

I seen it in the Widget. Didn't get to see the fatality though. Damn gamestop!

It was cool. Hoping for a Kano win, but it's too much to ask for the poster boy Kang to get his ass kicked.

FWIW, I'm more inclined to agree with your first theory.
I can see a rickety boat bobbing around.
There might be statues visible in other areas of the island, as well.

That's what I see, as well. Kind of hard to tell if it's on the Island during the invasion, or in Outworld.
EDIT: Now I feel like it might just be the Courtyard post-invasion. It's not very clear at this res. :-\

that clearly has to be The Wasteland. you can see an impaled body on a spear just like the original, some of the buildings in the background match up, as well as the lion statues. and the purple sky of course

I love all of the arenas in this video although the armory has never been one of my faves, you can see a large man/creature making weapons in the back.

The 2nd stage is on a coastline, there is water rushing in at their feet and it's windy, there is a crashed up ship and a purple sky, it looks awesome!!

One thing I love about this game is they aren't being cheap with the number of arenas like capcom is with their games. NRS is giving us a lot of characters and a ton of arenas to help keep it from getting boring. I'm ready to take my MvC3 back to the store already and trade it for more credit towards my MK pre order. Capcom gives us like what? 7 or 8 backgrounds a game now? We are getting a good amount of characters in the new MK all with 2 different looks and at least twice as many arenas as MvC3 had, plus we are getting a story mode and some other extras capcom didn't bother to put in. I'm really psyched for this game and I can't wait for april 19!!!
