Right, that's another thing. Promotion for this game has been piss poor, a topic that's been beaten to death here I'm sure. New info, video and everything has trickled out at an extremely slow rate compared to, say, MvC3 which was good about constantly showing new characters, having new video, etc.

I know the devs wanted a "surprise" element but they need to learn that in an age where everyone has the internet and can connect to it from more than just a home computer, keeping this information secret is going to be virtually impossible. People will find out about everything before the game is even out now so it's best to try and control the flow a little bit and be on the ball about constantly having new stuff out there. I mean shit, they implied we were going to have a week dedicated to Shang Tsung this week and outside of that wallpaper what do we have?

It's taken leaks and people getting the game early to really find out anything about the game.

I don't condone hacking, but I'm really excited to see what surfaces. I said months ago that sitting on the media till the last second wasn't going to work in the long run, and anyone who "wanted to go back to the secrets" would to have to monitor themselves.

It wasn't even working back in December. We were seeing fatalities for the first time in bootlegged footage.

Hopefully they'll have a more even spread of media for the next game's marketing. If they want the game's content to be seen as it was intended to be seen, that's the only way they're going to be able to do it.

Im going to tweet boon about this. They put their heart and soul into making this game for us the fans we can at least have the decency to wait and PAY for the game. I agree and infinite % with casselman.

Seriously though, I do agree that NRS has been slow to put out some information which ended up in people trying to find the information themselves - leading to the leaks.

However, like PhilCRinger, I pre-ordered the game as soon I could, even when I didn't even know if my favourite character would be in, how Story Mode would be like, what other modes there would be in or even how many of the characters would look or play like.

I don't regret it one bit. Though the later games weren't really all that good, I still play MK Armageddon now and then, and I enjoy it. And by the looks of this game already early in development, I knew I just had to have it. It's Mortal Kombat... and though that may not mean much to some of you, it's a franchise I've grown up with and that I know and love. So even if the game turned out to be a complete failure, I wouldn't regret having bought and played it.

I guess I am bit of a fanboy, I admit. XD

Leaked information isn't that big of a deal. It shouldn't hurt the company too badly, and the way they've been releasing information has been shitty and shifty at times. So maybe they deserved it.

As far as pirating the game goes, there is nothing good coming from it. If you want to learn about a game then check a review. If it means you have to wait longer then to damn bad. All of those people pirating are stealing the game. The only fair way to get access to this game is to pay. Frankly there is no argument for saying that pirating it is a good thing.

Yah your right. I hate their marketing. But that doesn't mean we should steal from them. If leaked footage comes out then it's no big deal. What's done is done, and boycotting that footage isn't going to change anything. So I am anxious to see leaked stuff. However, what the pirates are doing is wrong, and just because the marketing is ass doesn't mean they should have stolen sales.
