I honestly just want to know three simple things, and then I am leaving MKO until the game drops because I don't want anymore spoiled.

1. Is there any new characters ... you don't have to see who they are, just any that you know of ?

2. Is there any kind of create-a-fighter , or custom outfits ?

A brilliant way of changing some storylines that have gone stale and saving them from scrapping 18 years of history.

So Ed has pretty much confirmed Raiden will be playable woo!

Sounds an awful lot like Kira's fatality in MKD. They could have come up with something better for her.

see this is hard to grab being a mk1-3 span. EGM cover has NO SCAR on subzero, so either he gains the scar at one point, its been eliminated, or im simply looking way too far into this.

YES! I'm so very glad they didn't totally scrap everything. That's fantastic news to me. I know some people don't care, but, screw it, I love the story and I'm glad it's being dealt with and taken seriously. :D

It's a nice way of doing a sequel as well as being really old school with everything.
Apparently Raiden wasn't doing to well and is like "Well I have to do something!" and bam...sends a message to his past self.

Now Raiden can set things right in the past to prevent Armageddon.

So im confused ...

The ign article says Ed Boon won't talk about any "new" characters as he wants to keep them a surprise ....... But the gamespot article says they will all be "returning" characters.

So is the IGN interview says Ed won't talk about any new ADDITIONS to the roster and Gamespot is right, or will their literally be no new characters at all.

I'm ok with just the old characters, but even Street Fighter 4 added a few new characters.

One cool thing confirmed though is DLC so im excited for that.

But I'm still not sure how I feel about the whole "time travel" twist.....it could either be cool and fresh, or completely insulting to the canon storyline.

I like the idea of certain changes in how things play out like a 'possible' classic ninja as a cyborg. I like how they are doing powered specials which Ive suggested here (not saying they stole my idea). I also suggested the 2D in amazing 3D gameplay. They can cram a lot of detail this way. Im hoping they finally do MK the way it should be done with todays graphics and animation.

Someone mentioned Star Trek earlier as a comparison for a reboot...that seems like it was spot on.

Everything happened but now we're starting from scratch.

I wonder if they'll have the "enlightened" moments, like in the Lost finale, where other fighters remember their alternate reality self.


Also does Sub-Zero not die after MK1 this time around? Is this the bad sub-zero? These intrigue me, what would have happened if Sub-Zero wasn't killed after the first game? These are pretty fun ideas. If we're going with MK-3 rosters...I guess most of the old favorites will be back, including human smoke. Did I actually read that correctly? That someone may end up a machine, that was human the first time around? Can't wait for more details in the coming weeks.
