The Pitt II stage fatality was solid concrete and it looked more brutal than the Pit 1 which was spikes. I haven't seen anyone mention this.

The new Pit is a mixture of both the look of #2 with the fatality of #1

I have always thought that #1 was more brutal I mean technically its a fall into concrete on both but the one with spikes adds something to the already deadly fall. I always laugh at the pit 2 fatality it sounds like a fart when the body impacts the ground.

Why do there need to be more (or less) cyborgs? Damn...I don't see the point. Change for the sake of change isn't productive.

The MK team have already left GamesCom, so unless there's an embargo on video we aren't going to see anything more from this show.

One of Ed's tweets said the first time we get any video footage of Kitana should be "within the next few weeks", so yeah, it definitely looks like WB never had any intention of letting the actual public see anything from Gamescom for some weird reason.

I think "next few weeks" actually means PAX, since that's the first con where the game will be on the actual showroom floor and playable for the public instead of behind closed doors for the press only.

its probey due to licensing issues that gamescom and wb agreed to do. Probley why no one was allowed to bring cambras to the wb booth, and the booth was closed on a 1 on 1 interview.

Wb robley didn't like the result at e3 was to hectic and let loose to much information. Remember there is 7 months to go, if to much info is let out at the get go, then the last 3 months will be boring.

I hardly thing letting us see the actual moves of two characters who they already told us are in the game anyway is leaking too much info too fast.

There's still 16 empty spaces on that select screen, and the promise that the actual secrets like hidden characters won't even be spoiled before the game comes out.

you missunderstood. They wanted to show the two charectors, but not the moves yet because of PAX. Think of it, they have less then two weeks to come up with something exclusive for them. So whats not better than the moves for those charectors, or fatalitys. See my point?tongue

Ok, want to sum up the drama going down with Gamescom, the "situation" with MKU, the WB suits, and the MK team, still a little confused. (Could care less about all this Cyborg Sub non sense) tongue

Obviously the crew from MKU were very upset about something, sounds like something WB did or said to them.

Ed said it was a bad day, yesterday. Maybe because he felt bad about what the WB suits said or did to the MKU staff. For Ed to say it was a bad day and was referring to the "situation" it had to have been pretty bad, Ed knows fan site staff are some of the BIGGEST fans of MK.

The MKU staff were pretty much saying the game is fucking awesome, I bet when they were viewing it someone had a sneak a cam trying to get something that they weren't supposed to, and the WB suits dealt with them accordingly and probably threw them out bouncer style. Just my speculation.

Now, I also remember yesterday, someone on Hector's Twitter posted to show some video, and Hector replied "OK!!!" Also the IGN guys said they had footage that would have to be edited and probably posted early next week. Probably something exclusive that they got.

Ed boon tweet about him having a bad day, was just him being busy, and lots of interviews it tireing. He said he liked it, but hates it just as much.

Now for mku, yeah they might of done that. But i think the reason was that they can't show anything till a certine date when all info is released. They said no so they confiscated there stuff. Just a theory.sleep

He probley got told like any other guy that has a mk fanbased site. wb:"Sorry but we would like to let the big guys that spened the money for exclusives get the story first, you get your chance latter."

probley felt like he was being patronised like he was a 16 year old kid with a site. Anyway if you look at trmk...., they got the screenshots as well as everyone else plus an extra one. So i think they just wanted something exclusive and didn't get it.

That would be a terrible "reveal". "Oh, for this con we'll let you see one picture of each character. You won't get the WHOLE character until the next con.

They can afford to be less stingy with a roster of 26. For instance, if they did what they did for MK vs DCU, and revealed each character by releasing full body character renders? They could release one render every two weeks from now until the game comes out and still not have revealed everybody who's on the select screen, leaving a few surprises.

You forget that its only 2 weeks till they have to release some info specialy for pax. So theres no time to put anything extra or work on the build. So actually they are trying to make it last.

They don't need to make it last, the PAX reveal is the game itself being playable for the first time. And there are still large chunks of things we don't know yet about the E3 characters that we'll probably find out at PAX, like some of their second finishers or their win poses for example.

Nothing major would have been spoiled by a little video footage of Cyrax and Kitana actually doing stuff.

Especially since the screenshots already give away the only question people were really ever going to ask: "Does Cyrax have his net back?" and one of the articles that's been published describes one of Cyrax's fatalities and his X-Ray move, so it's like once you know what happens, seeing it yourself isn't much of a surprise anymore.

Then again reading whats cyrax fatality and seeing it are two diffrent things. Also the good thing about screen shots is theres no room for error, meaning they can controll what is leaked. Remember they want to make it fair.

Its a marketing strategy that you should only keep them in suspense on every little detail. trust me your'll thank them later.wow

I highly doubt that next spring when I'm popping in the MK9 disk for the first time, I'll be thinking "Man, I'm glad they made me wait those extra two weeks to see Cyrax's gameplay last summer, it's totally made the game more exciting and full of surprises."

LMFAO Razor, so very true. I still think they'll reveal something NEW at PAX for us.

And to who ever said that they won't have time to put anything new in the game for PAX because it's only 2 weeks away, really??? You honestly think that what we're seeing is where they are actually at in the game? HAHA wow!! What they're showing us is just what they want us to see, and what we saw, and what the attendees of Gamescom saw was probably finished before or shortly after E3.

Also it's not like the MK team put a halt to building the game just because of a Game convention overseas, most of the team is busting ass on it while a only a couple of the MK team actually went overseas to the convention.

point noted, and also yeah probley if they don't show you a special move that you found out during training mode.wink

but i was talking about like, remember when mortal kombat deadly allaince came out, we got all the info before the game came out in about 2 or 1 month left till its release. It was really draging and the excitement was lost.

What I remember about Deadly Alliance is an entirely positive experience full of beautiful artwork and I wish they had done that for every game because those pages of sketches with backstory on them for Kenshi, Drahmin, Moloch's Owl, etc. are still some of the best promotional stuff they've ever released, and even though they released that stuff, there were still a shit ton of surprises I had no idea about when I finally got the game. They had released almost nothing at all about Hsu Hao, Nitara, or Frost so I was discovering tons about them for the first time as I played the game and the hidden characters Blaze and Mokap weren't even mentioned at all.
The lead up to and release of MKDA was the single most exciting and positive time I've ever had in my entire life as a fan of Mortal Kombat.
The second best experience I've had is when the opening cinema of Deception leaked.
