Some countries have stricter ratings than others. If MK was banned in Germany because of the gore and violence, there's nothin' you can do about it.

If there really is a Cyber Sub-Zero, I want it on record that I was the first guy to see this coming and warn everyone that MK9's storyline was going to turn out to be a huge mistake.

I've been getting less and less optimistic with the chances of this story succeeding. I've gotten to the point that I'm pretty much expecting an MKSM level of story

I don't know whats going on, but I can sense immense over-exaggerating (or under-exaggerating) going down.

I seem to be one of the very few who doesn't give a shit about Cyber-Zero. The MK team were no Coen Brothers to begin with.

Cyber Sub would be a huge mistake. Character-wise, it's probably the worst they could do. Granted, if he was not a part of the story at all and just existed as a sort of bonus character or alt costume I'd be ok with it (but still a little peeved; if he ever comes about, it should be thru DLC).

But if he's in the story? Huge mistake. Nothing would make me cancel my preorder, but that would come damn close.

See, I can't think like that. If he did come into fruition, he would have a reason to. Plus might I add, as I always love to do, we know JACK SHIT about the plot.

Y'know, the more of these tweets I read, the more I think whatever "happened" over there has nothing to do with the game itself. It looks like the MKUniverse guys got into some sort of argument with a couple WB executives who handle publicity or something like that and aren't members of the NR studios team.

It's probably like I suggested first. They likely got denied access to something and then witnessed them giving access to someone else. The part about WB "making fun" of them would be rather unacceptable, if that really happened, but everything is just speculation until he comes here to let us know what happened. That is, if he does.

I know a lot of people feel that way, which is why I never really WANT Cyber-Sub to be in the game. But I'd be willing to accept it if they didn't make him part of the story or try to shoehorn him in by any means. This would lend him perfectly to DLC in my opinion. I'm not saying I'd like it (Chameleon was a disaster; he managed to fuck Reptile's story without even having one of his own), however I'd at least accept the concept if they inserted him similarly to how they did Classic Sub-Zero, MK2 Jax, Human Smoke, etc., in MKT. Just for multiplayer funsies.

I think it has to do with WB people since he also tweeted "Believe me, the new MK is Very cool its awessome man,this is a MK Game this is Moooortal Koooombat".

also for the Germany thing I dont know how stuff works there but cant they just import it? I know the 360 is region locked but the PS3 isnt so you can import games without worrying about it.

I believe Crow hit the nail on the head...aside from Mkdan's tweets he was with mkucast (or something similar) and his tweets hint that TotalMK was right about his ranting from E3 (that fan sites got shafted with photos, vids, etc). 2-3 WB staff gave them problems, and he said they lied to them...but the game looks great and the NR staff were cool. I am hastily paraphrasing this...but that's what I get from the tweets.

But its all about principals. While I'm not too fussed, a lot of people have a problem with such an established character like younger Zero being automated. I think, if handled correctly, it could bring some really awesome repercussions to the plot...but that's if done CORRECTLY.

The only major problem I have is having two ice powered fighters. Takes the unique-ness away from Sub Zero being alone.

agreed. it would be mk5 again or umk3. i really liked frost's design and powers but if we already have 1 cryomancer we really do not need a 2nd. it would be as redundant as having a 2nd fighter that is just like scorpion or 2 reptiles, etc.

Whether you have Cyber Zero or not...there has been no hint towards Noob being in this game.

Even if we did have Cyber Zero, why must it be negative? Can't something good come out of it. Once a change like that is initiated, it still can progress beyond "and he gets automated". Look at Cyrax, he got elaborated on throughout ensuing games, so will all of these characters when the next game comes out, and the game after...or hell at the end of THIS game.

I still think this game will end at MK:A. Not sure how and in what event, but the game will end where it started.
