I liked how in Tag Team fights, when one character is defeated he just fell into the acid in the Dead Pool. Really neat.

I love the detail of the special moves, like the Forceball. And probably the coolest thing i saw, was in Tag team, when Johnny cage died, he was kicked into the acid by Kung Lao. Didn't see that happening mid match. Epic. Oh Blackcyborg, you beat me to it haha.

I wonder if characters will just fall down and stay there on non-pit stages.
or do the explode like in Endurance mode?

Yeah I loved that! When I first saw that I thought I was seeing things. Then Cage Shadow Kicks Mileena into the acid and I crapped a brick

I'm not saying the games have ever been perfect or that criticizing them is wrong. I'm saying I have a personal problem with who those people are and how they act that has nothing to do with video games.
I like the idea of MK getting good enough to be hosted at video game tournaments, that's just good publicity.
But the people who play video games at tournaments are unpleasant human beings and I would never want to hang out or spend time with them.
And yes, I realize there are people here posting on this board who are also part of that camp. I make no apologies about anything I just said.

He's got a point. Tournament, as well as MLG, players are just annoying to be around. Not only do they drink their own kool-aid, but they also brag as if their skills and the games they play are that of a god. It's just stupid. I am not against competitive gameplay, but it's annoying playing games and beating people and having them act as if this game doesn't matter or how if the rules had been different on this particular day and they had something different for lunch that they would have won. Be competitive, but be respectful...and most of all, have some damn fun witht he games you play once in a while. I just can't stand people that think they are better than everyone else, and that's why MLG players and tourney players can be terrible to be around as Razor said. That's my take on the matter...

yeah, MLG players aren't pros or anywhere near tournament level. Those are basically the equivalent of 14 year old Call of Duty players to the fighting industry.
Real tournament players are dicks too lol, but they know what they are talking about, and they do respect casual players who are looking for fun. I used to be a Brawl tourney player, but that doesn't mean I didn't love using Yoshi's final smash to take out three other players.

massive improvement for the mk series considering the meh mk releases in recent years. still, part of me wishes they could pull off a decent full 3D fighter like soul calibur. the created characters i made in soul calibur 3 felt very akin to mk and i still yearn for a stunning 3D mk (see my created kitana vs. mileena, etc., videos here if you wish http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFdH3rF4y8s ). as for 2D mk this new game seems to easily trump the rest. the amount of things going on at once during a fight shows attention to adding variety for each fighter's attacks that separates them from the other fighters. the x-ray attacks are by far my favorite thing in the game at the moment. the fatals so far are better and are vastly improved but they could push the gore factor to the limit and make it ultra-disgusting. they could show organs being torn apart close-up, people sucking brains out of skulls (close-up). but still vastly improved over mk vs. dc, the horrible excuse of a game known as mk armageddon, etc. the feel of mk2 is back and it is a good feeling bringing back memories of standing in the arcade hoping to see a new fatal.
oh and reptile looks so awesome i can barely take it. he looks straight out of 1980s V series. now he just needs to knock-up sonya so she can give birth to a lizard baby!
