But I agree, it's time for some other characters to shine.

Who are the series' most popular and recognizable characters? Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Not Cage, not Kung Lao, not Kitana, not Sonya. They are doing Scorpion and Sub-Zero first because they are the two most popular characters in the series. Please stop complaining about it and be happy that they are doing them now to get it over with instead of doing them later and taking away from more characters.

You cant say that cause not even Ken and Ryu got this much attention when street fighter 4 was first announced.I followed that game from start to finish.Now I will say everyone has their own strategy and this just the mk teams own.Doesn't mean I have to like it.

Guys,relax. Once they run out of Scorpion and Sub-Zero shit to show,they'll finally move on to the other characters.

But why whore them out? why deplete their advertisement formats so fast? I realize that they are whoring out Blue and Yellow to market the game to the masses and all....I just wish they would take a more diverse approach instead of a "safe" approach. For example, we are about to get like what, 4-5 different media formats for Sub-Zero? The shadow pic, the render, a vignette video, and a game play montage video, right? Okay...so why not blanket these media formats across the entire revealed cast of fighters?

For example: The shadow pic could have been delegated to Sub-Zero, The render delegated to Mileena, the vignette delegated to Cyrax, and the game play delegated to Nightwolf. That would be so cool and more fun to anticipate.

AND...if they still wanted to emphasize Sub-Zero, they could have assigned him to one of the more visual appealing media formats - like the game play video. They could leave the photos to the "lesser appealing" characters and It would still be exciting because the procedure remains diverse.

I'm not complaining, i've got a shiny new Sub-Zero background on my laptop now, haha!

Scorpion got all this shit, now it's Sub-Zero's turn. After we get a bio video and a combo video for him, they'll move on to the next character on their list, probably Mileena if they go by order they're listed from left to right on the website.

Yeah it is being done in an order. People don't seem to get it. We probably get Subby's bio next week, then a gameplay video the week after, etc.

I am just glad Scorpion's turn is over. Wallpaper is awesome.

God forbid they show off all their characters starting with the two EVERYONE recognizes...and yes, I'm a hundred percent sure they'll show off everyone, as Razor said.

As for the actual Wallpaper and Render, they look cool. I like the design of Sub-Zero's new Kori Blade specifically.

About the use of his ice-y blade, did anyone else notice this being changed from the wallpaper we saw weeks back? On the original he used the opponents skull+spine. Fatality change?

Whatever they are doing its obviously not working as it should be.

The entire promotion and marketing of this game has been lousy and messed up since that first stupid countdown (subject that has already been beaten to death by everyone) and it doesn't seem to stop.

We are not asking for a new character reveal every day, however, people are actually hoping to see something NEW for a change. This avalanche of the ninja-stuff has reached the point where people actually yawn or roll their eyes at it. Not good. We've seen all of this before, like, enough times already.

Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Sonya (along side Batman, Superman, and Flash) were the primary characters for promotion and marketing in MKvsDC, and even so, that game had a very good balanced marketing featuring the rest of the cast. The others didn't shine as much but they all got a fair amount of light and in good time.

Nobody complained about having either ninja or Sonya featured in almost everything because there was always something "new" to talk about.

This is obviously not the case here. So, do we actually have to wait another 2 whole months before seeing someone and something different and new that (hopefully) doesn't only feature the ninjas? To make this thing work better and faster the Subby bio video (or the gameplay one which will definitely be shown) should had been released along side these "new" pictures.

At least I'm glad to know the Team is listening to the fans because more than one have talked about this issue.

Give us Johnny Cage, Mileena, Raiden, Jax, Nightwolf, Sektor, etc. And hopefully we can expect the same for the ones that haven't been revealed yet like Sonya, Smoke, Jade, Kano, etc.

tired of scorp and sub but it is a really cool wallpaper. as for the sword not being a spine and skull, its a wallpaper, i would not look too deep in to it.

why do they all use swords now?

I really really hope they didn't cut the cool skull on spine ice explosion for that boring nostalgic spinerip fatality shown in the latest movie.

For all who are whining about more sub and scorp news, there will be 2 more reveals from Scorp soon most likely, and 4 from sub. According to the facebook page.

We'll get Subby's Story thing like scorp first then after that a gameplay footage montage. Then i suspect either one of scorp's other 2 unlocked things or the remainder of sub zero's unlocked things.

All in all, the background is pretty sick

I really hope this doesn't mean they changed his fatality (as far as we know of). I really liked the combination of spine-rip, freezing and shatter with head. Replacing it with a sword is just stupid (in my opinion).

I've got to say I like the morning star attack. It would be cool if he can for other weapons. I think they should show more sub-zero cuz I need a break from scorpion.

I'm really starting grow into Sub-Zero,I love him already but I'm loving him a lot more.I've been revisiting the old MK games to prepare for the new one!!! But he looks cool in this game and that background is sweet!
