Pallette swap aside the smoke gimmick was unique, and shown even better in Deception. Smoke's story was cheesy and sad, and for a fighting game that was pretty cool. Yet you rather have some useless fuck like Cyrax who's story consists of turning into a good guy and doing a horrible job with it, but fuck it 'cause two is better than three, right?

Last time I checked, shadows and smoke are two different thing. Noob is a shadow, Smoke wields the ability of smoke. Smoke cannot create clones last time I check, Noob can. How both of these characters are alike is probably the same way on how Kenshi and Ermac are alike.
Also, grey and black are not the same colors. Despite that one is a lighter tint, they're not the same colors.
Except, Sub-Zero has made a lot of friends in the series, formed alliances with several Earthrealm characters, I think he's fine with the way he is and not some bully.

Subbie is a contract assassin, though is more like a chinese warrior than a ninja. Believe me, these characters are no longer ninjas, but unfortunately a lot of people continues to say they are. But I've always remained on the side to say they're not ninjas, but no one likes to put these characters under their real terms and believe they're something else, so I don't say it as much, otherwise flames are going to start rising. And since this game is almost here, everyone is so damn anxious, I kinda back away from saying, "They're not ninjas."
I've stopped believing these characters were ninjas after I played Mythologies and hearing Sub-Zero say, "I am not a ninja, I am Lin Kuei. Scorpion is a ninja." That sentence alone made me look at these characters twice and realized that they're no longer ninjas whatsoever.

Technically not ninjas but they have a strong emphasis on being ninjas, and for that it should be accepted to use that term to label them.

I call Sub-Zero Lin Kuei and not ninja. If they're not ninjas but being called one, they can defend their case by stating they're not ninjas, whether or not they're dressed up like one.
It's just like stating how the Wizard character in Diablo 3 isn't a Sorceress despite that she/he's got magic abilities that one would claim that a sorceress would have.
Just because they dress the same doesn't mean they need to act like that. So the Lin Kuei acts like ninjas but claim they are not. If they claim they are not ninjas, then they are not ninjas.

But you're just talking about two characters while all the others don't act like ninjas at all anymore.
Reptile, he lost his ninja ways a long time ago and is working more on aiming to get his race back. Getting betrayed and feeling completely useless that he needs a master to get ruled by. I don't ever recall ninjas feeling the need to be owned by a master.
Ermac, he is composed of warrior souls, warriors and ninjas are two different fighters.
Noob Saibot is a shadow who could care less about anything but himself, uses clones to fight against opponents. Ninjas don't use clones. Not to mention, Noob lost his weapons, therefore he cannot be a ninja anymore he is a shadow.
I'd get more into it, but I really feel like shit today and I've stated this so many times in the past that it should be clear on how these characters are no longer ninjas.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't mind people calling them ninjas when referring to them all as a whole so people can understand who you are talking about. But saying that others than Scorpion are actual ninjas would be a wrong statement. And that's what I was trying to tell Milaana.
Ermac, Reptile, Sub-Zero, Noob, Smoke etc... they aren't ninjas, as in ACTUAL ninjas. Only Scorpion is, or rather, was. And I simply wanted to clear that up.

Technically not ninjas but they have a strong emphasis on being ninjas, and for that it should be accepted to use that term to label them.
Kabal should be the announced character on G4.

This might as well be the DUMBEST thing I've seen from you yet. More dumb than the Kenshi/Ermac argument. You can die by smoke... Ever heard of locking yourself in the garage, running the car and suffocating yourself in there?

Uhh... Smoke can have his own moveset without relying on other character's moves. If he's going to get created, he's going to have moves of his own. It's not that hard to make up moves for this character.

Reptile, he lost his ninja ways a long time ago and is working more on aiming to get his race back. Getting betrayed and feeling completely useless that he needs a master to get ruled by. I don't ever recall ninjas feeling the need to be owned by a master.
Ermac, he is composed of warrior souls, warriors and ninjas are two different fighters.
Noob Saibot is a shadow who could care less about anything but himself, uses clones to fight against opponents. Ninjas don't use clones. Not to mention, Noob lost his weapons, therefore he cannot be a ninja anymore he is a shadow.
I'd get more into it, but I really feel like shit today and I've stated this so many times in the past that it should be clear on how these characters are no longer ninjas.

I understand your logic. But all of those characters share so many traits similiar to ninjas that people should be justified to label them that way.
Reptile: Didn't he start out sneaking around using his stealth to do reconaisance? And doesn't he dress like a ninja and fight like a ninja? Yes and yes. All are ninja qualities.
Ermac: "Warriors and ninjas are different fighters." Are u really going to go down that route? Either way ninjas where on an episode of Deadliest Warrior. So according to Spike TV ninjas are warriors and that is a highly credible source.
Noob Saibot: Dresses like ninja, fights like ninja, and is stealthy like ninja. Why can't he be a wraith with an emphasis on ninja style, thus worthy of the ninja label.
However, my point is, if u took a person who never heard of MK and showed them pictures of Scorpion, Sub-zero, Smoke, Reptile, Ermac, and Noob and asked them to describe what they look like, I'm willing 10/10 times they say ninja some where in their description. I think that is Milaana's point by saying there are too many ninjas already. A big portion of UMK3 had characters who all looked exactly like ninjas and the only difference between their appearance was color. In speaking in that respect do u think u could let it slide? I'm telling u already I won't be saying; hey in the new MK their are too many guys that wear oriental scarf esque masks on their faces. If I talk like that I'm going to have too kick my own ass.
