This really sucks for y'all Aussies! And I think he called it a criminal state because the Brits were shipping criminals there way back in the day. Maybe we can ship the game to y'all disguised as another game.

The game is "not classified" by Australian law, which means it's illegal to sell, right? I don't see anything illegal about shipping into Australia, although I understand why some companies wouldn't do it.

The law is outdated, because it's trying to protect minors on the assumption that video games are only for children.

they did the same thing with america until the revolution, so its an amusing attempt at an insult. considering how most of our population is NOT a convict descendant -_-

First the good news:
This has confirmed Kabal + Quan Chi in the game.

Now the bad news:
How ridiculously stupid is the government in Australia? MK is just a game. Its a fantasy world. So what if the graphics are somewhat realistic. At the end of the day its a game, nothing more and nothing less. The rating system in the UK and US has grown more and more easy going over the years whereas Australia seems to be going in no direction whatsoever. The game is intended for people 18 and above. The game is not for kids and wasn't intended for kids. Yet Australia can't seem to find a way or as I like to recall can't be bothered to put something in place. I really do sympathasise with you guys over there.

Wow..that's so stupid. I still don't understand why democratic societies prevent adults from getting access to media that is geared towards adults, it's not like the game is directed at kids or something.... I hope you guys can fight this and get the game like you guys deserve, total bull crap. Censorship is taken too far sometimes...outrageous. Could you guys potentially get it from New Zealand or Indonesia or another surrounding country, or is the censorship laws similar in the area?

That's what i said in my letter to them that I posted earlier.

This isn't "realistic violence". The graphics might be, but this is people ripping off torsos with their hands. How is that realistic!?!

Or how about Sub Zero stabbing them with the ice sword, only for htem to magically get back up.

Realistic my ass

I'm sure you guys can still get the game from buying it somewhere else. They can't stop you from doing that, right?

It doesn't seem too long when your covering 3 separate stories from 3 separate games all into one story mode.

I love MK and everything but 15 hours of MK Vs DC style story mode would be hella boring.

I found it funny on the report how many times they used "explicitly". Jade EXPLICITLY kicks their opponant into the air and EXPLICITLY impales them on her staff then EXPLICITY decapitates them. lol

I don't think people who would send them to the Aussie's would need to disguise them as something else. The posties can't search private packages.

Criminal country?... lol?

Australia has a false perception of "high crime" because of recent human smuggling, trafficking, and drug trade. But tell me, what country/continent DOESN'T have all those problems besides antarctica?

Anyway, jokes aside,
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
So, Jade has her UMK3 fatality, plus a decap. Sounds cool, though it looked like crap in MK3, I think with the updated graphics it should be much better.
Im assuming the 25 characters in the game are how many are available at the start. Im guessing there are going to be around 5 locked slots and then super secret characters
The biggest problem I see coming from this is that anyone that had a tournament edition pre order is kinda out of luck now because they are pretty much all sold out in America

Has there ever, actually, in the history of MK been what could be considered a super-secret unlockable character? Because I hear the term all the time, but I've never seen one that I can recall.

Ermac, yes he was real, and he was scorpion red. But to get AN ermac is still not known how to do the bug.
