Australia have explicitly decided to explicitly not to explicitly approve explicit classification of Mortal explicit Kombat, even explicitly though they explicitly allowed in explicitly before! (How many times i saw that word.....God!)smile

You know what I find funny? That they used Shao Khan as an example, a character who is DEFINETLY locked until you complete story mode. So this means to get him whoever or whatever team were rating/testing this game, would of had to go through this 15 hour storyline.

Now who the hell plays a game for 15 hours, THEN BANS IT???

They just watch videos of the "worst" parts and decide on the rating from that

My question wasn't really answered before. If I import the game from the US for PS3, will the online play still work in my region? Or will I have to import from the UK since we're both PAL? And then create a UK account for DLC?

I'd rather be able to import from the US because it's more expensive from the UK... but whatever works...

Yesterday I got an e-mail from JB HIFI saying my order was cancelled but I just got another e-mail saying my order is in progress and will be sent ASAP. What's going on confused Is it cancelled or not?

Anyone else get one of these e-mails?

They're just saving pre-order details incase something develops. The e-mail is an automated update to keep you up to date, "processing" or any other such language is just place holder for 'tba'. The e-mail should not be confused with any update on the availability of the game. If you check the JB Hifi website, you'll probably find no hit results in a search.

I feel really, really bad for Australian fans on this board. If any of them wants an uber cool Irish pen pal to send them a copy of the game....dont ask me. wink lol jk, but seriously, that's shite the way it's not allowed. Can you order it in from New Zealand?

And since im late to the party, can someone PM me a copy and paste version of what that link is on page 3? It keeps telling me I'm not autherized to view it despite having a Google Account. Sorry for the shit spelling, I've been drinking. tongue

It was a PDF link to the review document.
A PNG version is included at the bottom of the original story.

To be honest I expected this.

Doesn't effect me in the slightest though... I'll be importing a copy plus I have a US account on my PS3.

My real concern is MK getting zero sales in Australia.

It's not hard to open a US PSN account on your Australian PS3. Google it, it took me <10 minutes.

That = DLC and online play. Problem solved.

Yeah, Gow3 outdid MK in both nudity, and violence at the time. That's what I don't understand as well. Maybe because MK is the reason the ESRB exists.

Australia's censors are notoriously inconsistent.

They're not all rated by the same people, you s ee?

I remember reading an article in a ps3 mag here once, with an interview with one of the younger guys on the panel. They have a "cross section" of various people, some hardcore gamers, others not so.

Certain people are assigned certain games, and obviously different people have different opinions, so MK seems to have been screwed.

Often their excuse is "this is humans doing it to humans", whereas AVP or some of GOW is against monsters (or monsters against humans)

Yeah, they allow games like Bulletstorm, GoW 3, & Duke Nukem Forever with gore, shooting, nudity, etc., yet they ban this game which remotely does the same thing?

Very hypocritical if you ask me.

That really does suck for Australia. A lot of people did bring up a good point in regards to them allowing equally violent games. But let's remember this is the same country who refused FallOut 3 classification until the game changed all of it's in game drug names, but had little problem with the Bloody Mess perk.

Total bullshit and I feel for Aussie MK fans. How is it that the ASB can logically justify refusing to implement a R18+ rating for video games? It just reeks of bullshit biased censorship. Fucking politicians.

By doing so, you're not breaking any laws or violating any of Sony's TOS. 100% safe and legal. I have US and JAP accounts on my PS3 currently.

I'm importing from Amazon. Have you imported a banned game before? 'Cos I keep getting conflicting reports on whether or not it's legal.

Some say it's okay, some say that if it's caught I get a written warning and all my international mail is checked for three years (and fines etc for later instances)
>_<

Will the mail carriers have to declare "this is a copy of mortal kombat" and are customs likely to be on the lookout for such things?

Should I get a foreign friend to buy it for me and then post it to me anonymously? >_<
