Yes, another DLC thread, if the mods want to move this to a similar thread then feel free.

Ok, we have all the classics for the most part with Rain in. Of Course Motaro is absent but we all know that he's a "special case". But while all the classics are now present...we're "technically" missing two-Chameleon and Khameleon.

Ok, I know, I got my Rain and I should shut up and be happy-I am, but I wouldn't mind if these two were added. Yes, I know many of you hate them to pieces and think they're unnecessary, but if NRS can hit a home run with everyone else in terms of looks, moves, and game play, then who's to say the same can't be done for these two?

Khameleon as we all know is the last female member of Reptile's race. Her goal is to kill Kahn, warn Reptile of his true past, and then resurrect her fallen realm. Khameleon has only appeared twice and both those appearances were ten years apart(And on specific consoles mind you).

I think Khameleon has a ton of potential and if the recently created "Skarlet" can become a fan favorite the moment she steps on to the scene, then I'm sure Khameleon can too. Bringing in Khameleon(Not just in this game, but future games as well) can truly flesh Reptile out a lot more and possibly give him some new material other than playing "minion" all the damn time.

Kham can also become a great character on her own merit. Give her a hot new look, ORIGINAL moves, expand this already great story, and you have an awesome edition to MK'11, as well as the series in general.

Chameleon is the weakest of the two characters as he has literally no story. In trilogy he was only mentioned as "Kahn's greatest warrior" and his ending in Armageddon revealed that he has been watching the events throughout the series while in the shadows.

Cham is practically a brand new character, or a blank piece of paper that is begging to be painted. Chameleon is obviously another member of Reptile''s race and maybe Reptile could align with Khameleon while Cham remains loyal to the Emperor and is given the order to kill them? As with Kham, give him ORIGINAL moves, a great new look, and he'll also be a great addition. It's not impossible.

Any ideas of your own? If Cham/Kham were indeed completely re-invented would you be willing to give them a chance? Should their first stepping stone be this game or MK10 or...never?

I think both characters are hated for silly reasons. Big deal, they shared other character's moves, that can easily be remedied.

I know their chances are low, even lower than Hsu Hao's and Mokap's, but there's a tiny part of me that knows they should be in this game.

If they realise MK for the WiiU or for the 3DS then i'd say we will get Khameleon again.

Chameleon I wouldn't mind seeing in terms of story but i'd prefer having reptile.

Khameleon, sure whatever, doesn't matter to me.

However Chameleon is different, I think we should have him return for the future. I was playing Trilogy the other day and had a great time playing as the character that palette swapped randomly, really cool random combos were made with ease.

In Armageddon this wasn't the case, he had a set of preset moves that already belonged to other characters, it wasn't even cool. If he were to return I think they should not make a totally new character out of him (Give him more story though), but revisit the idea they had back in MKT. Of course it's completely random, and unskillful, but it's an awesome Wild Card that is overlooked. If it could somehow be implemented again, would be pretty neat. On another note, they should use his MKA costume, only when his moveset changes the color of his transparent skin changes.

I would love it if Khameleon was remade into looking more like a Saurian and was added a unique movelist with her own special moves and fatalities. As mentioned, she already got a storyline and is tied to Reptile which I think would be great for Reptile as well, seeing he has little no story himself.

I like the idea of everybody thinking Reptile is the last of his kind, but in the shadows hides the last female of their kind, and if they find eachother, they will have a new opportunity to make the Saurian race prosper once more.

As for Chameleon... another of Shao Kahn's "greatest warriors"? No thank you. I hope Boon holds true to his word and that Chameleon never returns in any shape or form. Even if Chameleon turns out to be a Saurian as well, it would jsut defeat the purpose of Reptile being the last (male) of his kind which is the very foundation of his existence. So that's a definite NO from me.

Ed never said Chameleon won't appear ever again. Just that he wasn't going to be in MK9.

"Any time soon" was what he said. Which means he won't be seen in MK10 most likely. He was also put in the same boat as Hsu Hao, so the chances of him ever returning are far from great.

Yeah, I may have misinterpreted it, because I really don't wanna see Chameleon again. But none the less, it still suggests that he won't return for this game as a DLC.

I would say yes to both. Tho Cham. doesn't have a good story other what had been listed and Kham is available on MK:A Wii version. they should bring all of the classic characters back and continuing brings back the other -Alities as well.

Khameleon should definitely return. She had lots of potential, IMO. As for Chameleon, I think we should give him a chance, but give him a name change. If NRS could decide whether Reptile's race are called Raptors or Saurians, they could use the other name for Chameleon. As for his story, he could know what happened to his people, but doesn't really care as long as Shao Kahn rewards him for his loyalty, making him the polar opposite and rival of Khameleon (and possibly Reptile if he ever turns on Kahn).

I think that they could take both characters and give them the full revamping that they deserve. I'm a little surprised at the fact that some people just close the door completely on the idea of Chameleon coming back. If he has a story that branches out beyond simply being one of Khan's warriors and he has a great move set, wouldn't that most likely change your mind?

I dunno, I have a lot more faith in NRS than I had in the MK team when it comes to fleshing out characters depth both in terms of storylines and moves. So sure, if players want these characters, I say why not?

I think he/she (one or the other) should be brought back but be their own character. No more mk trilogy chameleon. He could have his/her own version of special moves from other ninja's and then one or two for him/herself. Cham. should also have a unique design. I see no need for them to both return though.

To be honest I always see the potential in every character except for a select few and Kham I would have no problem with her being DLC, but Cham would be a bit "Ehhhh" to me just because I would be worried that we would get another MK:A story for him.

Did any of you actually PLAY as Chameleon in Armageddon? By far one of the best fighters. He was actually one of the coolest looking fighters too, imo. I think he worked great having the combination of different characters' moves, though he does need some of his own stuff. Khameleon could be treated the same way, just with the female ninjas moves.

Personally, I'd love to see them return, Chameleon even moreso.

And as for the name thing, they could just take the 'n' off of Khameleon to make it more feminine and distinct. That's what I did for my fan fiction. Chameleon and Khamelea.

If they ever bring Male Chameleon back and write him a real backstory for once, I'd prefer it to be that he's another artificial creation like Ermac/Skarlet/Meat/Mileena, not a real Raptor.

Too many living Saurians dilutes the shit out of Reptile's "last of his kind" story.

I recently got Armageddon for the Wii and the very first thing I did was make my own Khameleon because I disliked their version so much.

I think with a closer connection to Reptile, and her own moves, she could become a pretty interesting character and also beneficial to Reptile. She could be his ticket out of the 'lackey' shtick he's forever tied to.

As for Chameleon, he's essentially the same as Khameleon only he has no plot at all and since Khameleon does I don't see the point in having two 'meleons' so best to just go for the one that already has some potential, I think.

I would welcome them with open arms IF they stay FAR away from the lizard people look that reptile is rocking in MK9.
and in my books cham/kham have MUCH higher chances than hsu hao and mokap, i never understood the hatred towards them

I always thought that they both should still keep how they uitalize the other moves in such, but only just the presence of their moves. Not full copys.

So things like Chameleon would use Scorpion's spear in his regular kombos and Khameleon's throw would consist of both Kitana's fans and Jade's staff. But the weapons have differant designs. I don't know how they would use them in their special moves. Maybe use the weapons in differant ways then the others do.
