Khameleon should be revamped to become her own character. I may be in the minority but I think she should be the same race as Reptile. In saying that, she should have some kind of class superiority over Reptile (like a Saurian hierarchy,), thus making it forbidden (or impossible) for her and Reptile to get it on.

She should also look different. She can keep the short snout, but it should be more pronounced then Reptile's (I.e. Give her a slightly T-Rex looking snout). She should also have more colors on her skin (with a grey outfit) and her hair can be like Iguana spines. Hell, they can go all out and give her a hijab (that doubles as the ninja mask) that unfolds in a King Cobra-esque manner.

First of all, I don't think it was a good desion to make Khameleon exclusive to the Super NES in the first place. It was a dumb move. Forbiding her to be on other consoles like the PS3 or the X-Box 360.

I wouldn't mind giving Khameleon an chance, if they changed that stealing move thing. She has a great story with a lot of potencial. I really dont want to see Chameleon again.

Khameleon can appear on any platform. She just happened to appear on Nintendo Consoles by coincidence. She could've been in all versions of MKA but they "claim" they forgot her, but I call bullshit. They remembered Chameleon and freaking MEAT but not the one with an actual story? lol.

They purposely left her out so they could use her as an incentive for people to buy the Wii version.

Chamelon. I like the creation idea, but then I got thinkin well kahns already got quite a few then I got thinking of armageddon. Now i never played it in depth and the konqust mode, im not exatlly sure what time it takes place but I vaugley remeber talk about the red dragon making their own dragons.

If they did kidnap reptile take his and take his dna, it could plausabliy give chamelon camaflouge abalites (or sommthing similar to reptiles invsisibility) With the whole time warp thing happening this whole red dragon plot could go down and sooner than it was intended. Also he would be part dragon well. Bam you got your fire, your camo, why not make him one of thos whack dragons that can breath ice. BAMO theres a chamelon! (not an amazing idea but better than "kahns greatest unkown warrior")

If the 4 dlc characters are the only ones were getting im betting they are either hornbuckle, nimbus, or khamelon. (khamelon being the only "real" character) keepin the mk 1-3 vibe (or bo rai cho because he is mentioned in the story)

I would assume they will wait till next game or an expansion for mk 4 characters.

SInce the Team doesn't care for these characters, I think they do them justice one game, and have them killed off or disappear into obscurity.

I say let them keep copying moves. No need to give an all original moveset to characters you really don't care for.

Khameleon should get the classic variations of moves Like Square Wave Punch, etc.

And ditto for Chameleon.

I don't think she was ever adamantly -supposed- to be a Nintendo exclusive. It's not like Kratos, where Nintendo paid them money for an exclusive character or something.

It was more just a coincidance of circumstance... that all her appearances were on Nintendo consoles. Not a calculated move of MIdway or Nintendo's part.

I mean before Armageddon, Sareena only appeared playable on the Gameboy Advance. Did that mean she was a "Nintendo Exclusive" for the entire stretch between MKTE and MKA? No. It was just a coincidance.

In any event, as to the question at hand...

I wouldn't mind seeing either of them back. Or Mokap, or Meat, or Hsu Hao for that matter. The more characters the merrier, imo. Everyone deserves a second chance.

If the team doesn't want to devote full development to them to make them new characters, what I think would be REALLY cool is...

Meat is easy enough. Use a Skinless Male model.

Chameleon they could do. We know from Shang Tsung that NPC's can load a few movesets at once. We know from Shao Kahn in the challenge tower, and the Classic Ninja costumes, that this game is capable of switching colo palletes for costumes. It's not a huge stretch to think they could take the Klassic Male Ninja and re-create the MKT Chameleon fight.

Same goes for Khameleon, but using the female Klassic Ninja instead.

And frankly, Stuntman is just a stone's throw away from being Mokap already. In appearance and backstory.

If they have no intention to make these guys fully realized characters ever again, at least let them make some cool 1-fight cameos.

as for chameleon, it depends on what they do with him. If he turns out to be another zatteran then hell no. if they do something else with him then why not?

an idea that I had for chameleon was that he's a shapeshifting alien that shang tsung found in earthrealm and took to shao kahn. kahn raised chameleon as a last resort (like skarlett) only instead of spying on quan chi he spies on shang tsung in case the sorceror betrays kahn.

I'd like both to be in the game since they are 'classic' characters and two of my favorite ninjas in the series. I think they should at least given them a chance instead of the Team treating them like garbage.

If they became Fan favorites, I'm sure they'd with some half-asseed excuse to leave them out, or kill them off. But they eventually would have to respond to fan demand.

The only way I see them in MK9 is if there is the demand, but not many care for the two.

I'm sure Meat has better chances of re-appearing than the Chameleons, though. At least he got a cameo in MKD, and to my knowledge, was never going to be purposely excluded from MKA like the Chameleons.

Well what if they switch it around? What if Khameleon comes from a certain line of saurians that can change their genders? It's perfectly normal in nature for some species. But I can totally see people poking fun at Reptile for it.

My favorite post MK3 character is Drahmin, but most people hate the poor guy because he had shit for a story and I liked him because I saw the potential he had.

Chameleon is ok.

Like many have mentioned, if the team can make stryker cool then anything is possible. I wouldnt be suprised if hsu hsao (or however the fuck you say his name) comes back next game as a total badass. With that being said both characters have potentail.

The only character who has no potential is mokap lol. Everyone hates mokap but I think it was a hillarious idea, if anything id prefer if he was the move stealing characters, his alt could be meat, his alt alt could be chamelon his alt alt alt could be ed boon...

TBH, I feel like Khameleon was blatantly rejected during MKA. They probably only considered the male one canon (I don't know why they'd pick another male) and the female was sort of a "what if" scenario. Hence why they claimed MKA featured "ALL Mortal Kombat Characters ever"!

Ironically, it was thanks to that lie that other people began knowing who the hell Khameleon was. I know I sure as hell didn't know about her until MKA. Knowing that she has a fanbase, I think she could actually make a return of sorts. However, that return should be in this game since it encompasses her origin game. #BringBackKhameleon

I'm indifferent about the other two saurians really, just like I am regarding Rain. I don't hate them outright, but I haven't been impressed in the slightest with what they've brought to the table and Armageddon didn't help matters either.

My biggest problem with them though is exactly what ties them to their names, which is they just have other people's moves. It robs them of any real character. I mean Tsung at least has the soul steal thing going for him. Also, I feel it cheapens Reptile's role as being the last surviving saurian. And I'm not even that big of a Reptile fan, but that's really one of the few things he's got going for him.

But sure, bring the other two saurians back, just do something with them that isn't lame.

I would agree if him being the sole survivor of his race was this amazing story that was really working for him but...it hasn't gone anywhere. O_o

He's just Shao Kahn's minion. I find him being a minion for 19 years straight to be more "boring" than hooking up with Khammy.

That's why I'm personally for Khameleon being brought in because maybe she'll help dust the cobwebs off of Reptile's story and for once make him interesting.

I agree with this because both Baraka and Reptile have been Shoa Kahn's bitches for FAR too long......If they don't spread out and do their own thing then they are just useless in my opinion.

Not too long ago I got into an argument with a Reptile fan who was OK with his favorite character playing bitchboy and I couldn't for the life of me understand why. We all want our characters to grow and develop, I don't think anyone want their favs to stay in the exact same position they were in 19 years ago-but obviously he did.

Smh, MK fans are odd.

But yeah, Reptile and Baraka, despite their "superstar" status, are really starting to become useless. Rain, Sareena, Kham ect all have excuses as to why their stories haven't reached their full potential, but what is Reptile's and Baraka's?
