Yesterday I decided to play through the MK side of MKvsDC before I traded the game in.

Ed Boon said the story mode will be presented the same as the previous game. By this I take it he means, fight a battle, watch an animation, fight a battle etc

Now this can go in two directions: Either it will be presented in such a way that it feels like an "MK movie" OR it will be lame like MKvsDC. Not the way in which it was presented, but the acting, the weird MK walkie talkies, all of the MK characters standing around in a stupid circle...all that was lame.

Now If the team can pull it off,I dont mind it being in the same format as MKvsDC. Story is important to me and they have a great chance of making it atmospheric and epic.

Anyone have an opinion on how they present the story?

I objective to this "MKvsDC style" presentation. I hated it. It was entirely boring.

However, I feel that because this is going to be fully MK without any of the cheesy DC characters, it will be more entertaining. I'm sure they'll throw in some darker and bloodier elements to go with it.

I wish they had gone with an interactive story mode like MKD or even MKA, but at least it will be fully MK this time. Can't wait to see a movie-like presentation of Sindel, Reptile, and other long-missed classics that never get much attention.

I thought MKvsDc's story mode was terrible overall. Mainly, I didn't like that it wasn't something I could run around in. Although there were other things like

: character portrayals were okay at best.
: Took most of the control in actually playing the thing away from me.
: Scripting for the characters was lackluster and immature. MK is Mature.
: Didn't anticipate watching most of it, so I disliked it.
: Didn't like that it was 2-sided.
: "The Rage" gimmick sucked! lol
: "The merging of the realms" gimmick...sucked!

One good thing was the voice actors though, I did really like them. Much of the rest of it was distasteful for me though.

So anyway, if they present it as an interactive cinema sort of thing (alot more interactive than sprinkling bouts throughout the thing) then they might win me back over on this sort of presentation. But right now, I don't like how "pre-determined" the idea is at all.

All I'm hoping for now is that the story is really good, and there is something more to it than watch, fight, watch, fight...ect.
