They should add extra costumes for Rain as well. It just makes perfect sense, only ninja who doesn't have ALT costumes.

It's going to be UMK3 Scorpion.
There's a pattern.
Every free costume they released, all they did was work on one retro skin and palette swap the colors, and bam, you got two skins. They did it for Sektor and Cyrax, they did it for Noob and Smoke and they did it for Kitana and Jade. Since what we are seeing is (an inaccurate) Sub-Zero with a UMK3 suit, that means it's going to be a ninja with the UMK3 suit. The reason why I say it's Scorpion is because that suit has been used for years. UMK3, MK4, and MKDeception/Armageddon.

They wouldn't waste their time making a character skin which will be free if they wasn't gonna make use of it. I dunno why some of these people are screaming "Cyborg Smoke". You guys would be disappointed anyway since he won't don his true specials, so making a palette swap for a Cyborg Smoke is practically pointless, also to mention we just got a Smoke retro skin a few weeks ago!

I admit i am considering getting the compatibility patch atleast if theother kostume proves to be awesome, the unmasked sub was always my fav one.. though it doesnt quite the same though...

Thing is, i dislike subzero in this gameplay wise, so aside from playing with him few times more it doesnt offer much, the other ones probably mileena mk2 version, which i like better then jade and kitana in mk2 outfits yet wouldnt pull me over... cyborg smoke might do the trick though... kind of wish theyd do 3 this time... one can hope :^)

Shame unmasked Sub-Zero isn't his MK3 look but the UMK3 ninja unmasked.

I hope it comes with umk3 Rain, I absolutely want a new Rain costume. Reptile wouldn't be bad either, or Ermac. I just really want one for a ninja BESIDES Scorpion.

The fact that it's the UMK3 costume unmasked just seems to me like a confirmation more than anything else.

First off, I actually think this version of Sub looks better than the true MK3 version would, but that's just me.

Second, I wasn't sure if the UMK3 ninja suits would look good with today's graphics, because Scorpion's looked cheesy in the previous 3D games, but they (based on Sub's) look GREAT!

Eh, kinda disappointed that it's the UMK3 ninja outfit. I'm willing to live with this, though, as long as he does have the scar on his eye simply because it's better than nothing at all. I can finally play as my favorite version of my favorite character.

I just wonder if they'll remember to give Smoke's voice the cyborg reverb when he does his entrance taunt and stuff in his Cyborg alt costume. Or if they've recorded a completely new quote for him, like how Human Sektor and Cyrax have different quotes from their primaries.

Don't they have to release MK2 Mileena yet? So wouldn't it be MK2 Mileena and UMK3 Sub Zero next?

God, people really need to understand a few things about these free kostumes...

1) They're always palette swaps / Palette swaps with a single difference, like a missing mask. So all the hoping of unmasked Sub-Zero and Cyborg Smoke * are pointless.

2) Free kostumes for DLC characters didn't happen and it's not gonna happen.

* 3) If it's a big alternate difference such as a human into a cyborg, it's not going to happen in a free DLC. They wouldn't work that hard on something they're not charging us for.
