No 18, yesterday. So far he's skipped 22, 18.

I'm thinking there's a possibility that this countdown isn't that serious of a countdown.

I think you guys, along with most MK fans, are putting far too much stock into this.

While it's possible that it might be a new Mortal Kombat game, I really don't think anything of relevance is coming.

If nothing comes June 2, that just means we're waiting an additional two weeks for the E3 MKX trailer.

We're not getting the hints much, and he's more ranting about ongoing events.

There are days he's skipping, which leads me to believing it's not a true countdown.

You my friend are consistent, and by god...I respect that.

I'm excited to see what they're working on next, no matter what it is. Fingers crossed for MKX.

I know this is a joke, but this actually scares the hell out of me. Scoepion was in Injustice for Christ's sake. Do not underestimate Boon's hard-on for Scorpion. If it's an adventure game with just scorpion then I will pass. I'm sick of seeing his face plastered everywhere at this point.

In fact, I'd rather see an Injustice 2 than a game revolving solely around Scorpion. Now Scorpion and Sub-Zero? That's a different story.lol

I wonder if the numbers Ed is leaving out actually mean something, as well? letters or perhaps a date?

Referring to Mick's article and Boon's twitter, I see "22" and quite a few lower numbers being skipped around "18". Anybody remember This? Yes I know it makes no sense from a marketing perspective. Just trying to speculate.

I wonder if left out numbers mean something, too. I wouldn't put it passed Boon. Maybe numbers for Noob.com?

Being somebody who has figured out a few of Boon's countdowns before anybody, I am investigating beyond belief, here. Likely wrong but won't admit defeat.

I doubt Mortal Kombat 10 is being released this year.

Besides, I'd rather it be released next year. NRS should devote as much time to the game as possible.

Well, the countdown has the attention of the gaming media, as IGN and GameInformer have both talked about it, so I sincerely doubt that Boon's drawing that kind of interest just to troll or even for a few Injustice character announcements. Something's obviously up.

As for what it is, I can't imagine them rolling in to the next Injustice game so soon. I also think that while MKvsDC was a nice one off, I don't get the feeling that the demand is really there for a sequel.

As for an MK adventure title, I'd be VERY surprised if that's how Netherealm decided to usher MK in to the next generation.

My guess is either MKX or a completely new IP. He's trolling fans pretty hard, so my guess is MKX, but he's also trolling Injustice fans a bit, so that part alone leaves open the possibility off something totally different and unexpected.

If it's MKX, I really hope they stick with the consequences of what happened in MK9's story and leave out those that serve nostalgia far more than plot function.
