I'm sticking to the theory that MK 10 is going to be announced and to keep our mouths wet we're going to get the last two character spaces in Injustice filled up.

I'm with you on that. I always come back for the reveal and lead up 'til the next game. Color me excited.

So the closest thing now is MKX.

MK9 is NRS's best selling game. A new MK game is under developement cuz actors leaked info.

Now the adventure game theory scares me a little. Unless its a fighting game with an adventure story mode like MKDA MKD and MKA.

I'm honestly more excited that this news hype is bringing back everyone on here.

I would be really unhappy if it was a Sholin Monks type game with very little replay value.

It will be MK10 with just about everybody from MK9 and 8 returning and 6 NEW characters. DLC will be 8 Characters 4 Returning and 4 NEW

Here is my two predictions that could happen:

Option 1-Mortal Kombat 10 and Big Patch Update for Injustice (PS3, PS4, Vita, Xbox 360)


-Mortal Kombat 10 Teaser Trailer or Poster
-Darkseid and Power Girl fill up the last two spots on the character select
-New costumes
-More Star Lab Missions (Martian Manhunter, Zatanna, Darkseid, Power Girl)




Option 2-Mortal Kombat 10 and Patch Update for Injustice (Mobile)


-Mortal Kombat 10 Teaser Trailer or Poster
-New Challenges (Power Girl, Ares, Killer Frost, Zatanna)
-Red Son Pack 2 (Red Son Batman, Red Son Green Lantern)

Either one I'd be satisfied

I hope that this is the case, I think they need to do what street fighter do & make the same game but add characters, but of course providing a new story based on MK4

After the "MKX" post, I can't help but wonder what he may be planning for today, *10* days from the announcement. Even something as simple as "10 is an interesting number..." might make me lose it.

Maybe he'll do a TOP 10!

Agreed. Though Injustice had it's own interesting wave of topics, debates, and predictions, it just wasn't the same. It was a different kind of vibe.

Well, not being Mortal Kombat at all (aside from the Scorpion cameo) might've played a pinch of a factor in it I won't lie, seeing a lot of the MK sites suddenly turn into Injustice sites was a bit off putting. I mean, if you want to convert them into "Netherrealm Studios" fan sites, that makes more sense to me. But I digress...

That was to be expected, though. We all knew a lot of people weren't going to stick around for Injustice except for the comic fans, gameplay enthusiasts, and some veterans. I'm just glad to see people back.


I would go a step farther and say that the modern fans sites are just general fighting game websites now. If the community wants to see it bad enough, than pretty much anything is a go. That's why KI is now featured on TYM.

It's fun to be back as well. I mean, I own Injustice and played for a while... but it never really hit any nerves for me to go online and talk about it like MK has. Seriously, ever since I had the internet, if there was a new MK, I'd be rambling about it online Four years ago when the announcement for the ninth game came around, I felt like a little kid again. I'm hoping I'll have that same feeling in 10 days... only time will tell.

9 more days till the count down ends. We are in the single digits now.

If it was indeed MKX I wonder how itll be introduced.
